Window and Carpentry Measurer Technician

**LOCATION AND MOBILITY** Main base in the western area of Asturias. Work is carried out throughout the Iberian Peninsula; therefore, availability for travel, frequent relocation, and overnight stays away from home are required when the project demands it. We are seeking a person with experience in measuring openings for the manufacturing and installation of windows, doors, and other carpentry elements. The role involves visiting construction sites, taking precise measurements, and preparing the necessary technical information to subsequently manufacture each custom element. **Main Responsibilities** · Visit residential units, commercial premises, and construction sites to carry out measurements. · Travel within Asturias and across the rest of the Iberian Peninsula, as required by each project. · Measure openings for windows, doors, enclosures, shutters, insect screens, and other carpentry works. · Check levels, squares, plumb lines, depths, and possible irregularities. · Determine the installation system and required tolerances. · Identify finishing elements, cover strips, drip edges, pre-frames, shutter boxes, and accessories. · Produce clear sketches, photographs, and technical sheets for each job. · Prepare accurate cutting lists and manufacturing orders. · Identify potential difficulties prior to manufacturing: access restrictions, disassembly requirements, lifting equipment needs, or possible damage. · Coordinate with manufacturing, technical office, sales staff, and installers. · Verify that the requested product is technically feasible. · Attend to and advise customers during technical visits. **Work Area and Availability** · Usual work base: western area of Asturias. · Scope of activity: entire Iberian Peninsula. · Availability for frequent relocations. · Availability for travel and, when necessary, overnight stays away from home. · Flexibility to organize routes and visits according to scheduled projects. **Requirements** · Proven experience measuring windows, doors, or carpentry on-site. · Knowledge of aluminum, PVC, wood, or enclosure carpentry. · Ability to interpret blueprints and produce sketches. · Proficiency in using tape measures, laser distance meters, spirit levels, and other measuring tools. · Familiarity with opening systems, profiles, glazing, shutters, and hardware. · Precision, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate problems. · Valid driver’s license. · Availability for travel and relocation across the entire Iberian Peninsula. · Basic proficiency with telephone, email, and measurement or management applications. **Personal Competencies** · Responsible, organized, and meticulous individual. · Strong technical judgment and ability to make decisions on-site. · Clear communication with customers, installers, and factory personnel. · Ability to work autonomously. · Quality-oriented mindset and commitment to minimizing errors. · Punctuality, professional appearance, and courteous conduct. · Ability to manage multiple measurements and meet deadlines. · Good adaptability to travel and changes in scheduling. **Especially Valued** · Residence in the western area of Asturias or willingness to work from this area. · Prior experience in window manufacturing or installation. · Familiarity with budgeting, cutting list, and manufacturing software. · Knowledge of thermal and acoustic insulation. · Experience with special enclosures, curtain walls, partitions, or metal carpentry. · Training in occupational risk prevention. · Familiarity with major profile and hardware brands.
