Job Summary: Apave is seeking a waste operator for the characterization and quality control of urban solid waste, as well as for monitoring waste collection vehicles. Key Highlights: 1. Opportunity to work in a diverse and inclusive environment At Apave, we are an organization committed to sustainability and environmental respect; therefore, we seek a waste operator whose main responsibilities include: **Responsibilities** * Characterization of urban solid waste through manual sorting into its different generation streams (selective collection of packaging, residual fraction, single-material collection of paper/cardboard) at waste recovery and treatment plants. * Quality control of recovered materials at waste recovery and treatment plants. * Monitoring of waste collection vehicles to quantify their operational efficiency and determine related technical parameters. * Inspection of container condition quality. **Requirements:** * Technical profile FPII in Environmental Health or equivalent (desirable) * Specific knowledge of urban solid waste (valuable) * Experience in urban solid waste characterization and/or treatment (valuable) * Class B driving license (mandatory) * Willingness to travel **Working Conditions:** * Contract to cover a long-term leave, estimated until year-end * Full-time working schedule, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week) * Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience + productivity incentives * Location: On-site in Murcia * Company vehicle available *Statement on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion:* *We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and welcome applications from all sectors of the community, as we believe a diverse workforce adds greater depth to our work.* * Technical profile FPII in Environmental Health or equivalent * Specific knowledge of urban solid waste (valuable) * Experience in urban solid waste characterization and/or treatment (valuable) * Class B driving license (mandatory) * Willingness to travel
