**SOCIAL EDUCATOR**
*For residential services in Girona, Salt and Juià, operated by Fundació Resilis*
**Main responsibilities:**
* Familiarize oneself with the service’s operations.
* Carry out complementary and supportive educational tasks alongside Social Education professionals. Provide educational accompaniment and support to young people served at the centre. Address the individual’s basic needs (education, nutrition, emotional well-being, hygiene, health, psychological support, etc.) and specifically attend to situations of neglect or vulnerability.
* Support implementation of the service’s educational project. Apply fundamental educational guidelines to guide the minor’s stay.
* Conduct broad observation of the individual served—covering emotional, relational, behavioural, and habitual aspects—to understand and comprehend them.
* Inform the education staff and/or shift supervisor of any significant circumstance requiring improved intervention, ensuring effective information management, better organizational performance, and enhanced centre management.
* Accompany individuals served in complementary activities, such as vocational\-training sessions, medical appointments, judicial procedures, leisure activities, etc.
* Facilitate the individual’s integration into the community and encourage normalizing social relationships.
* Uphold the centre’s educational approach and contribute constructively to its periodic review.
* Attend and actively participate in team meetings. Participate in institutional analysis and supervision sessions.
* Ensure sound educational practice through continuous evaluation of the educational process—aiming to improve it, prevent stagnation in unfavourable personal or social situations, and anticipate emerging difficulties that could hinder youths’ progress.
* Foster a climate of coexistence and mutual respect among the professional team.
* Support centre management to optimize time and resources.

**Additional requirements:**
* Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Social Education or official certification (mandatory).
* Additional specialized training in child and adolescent protection is valued.
* Prior experience working with children and youth facing social exclusion, preferably within CREI, CRAE or reception centres.
* Native-level spoken and written Catalan; proficiency in standard office software packages is mandatory.
* Valid driver’s license held for over one year and own vehicle.
* In compliance with Article 13\.5 of Organic Law 1/1996 on the Legal Protection of Minors, a valid Criminal Record Certificate for sexual offences, issued by the Central Registry, is required prior to hiring.

**Working hours:**
Rotating weekly schedule:
* Week 1 and 3\- Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM
* Week 2 and 4\- Tuesday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM / Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
* Irregular working hours distribution (10%)
* 2 holiday days of 12 hours each
