This position operates and maintains water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with IDEM and EPA standards. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES** * Monitor and regulate treatment processes, pumps, and equipment * Collect samples and perform laboratory tests for quality control * Adjust chemical feeds and treatment rates as needed * Maintain security and safety procedures at facilities * Record data, complete logs, and report operational issues * Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and chemical deliveries **QUALIFICATIONS** * High school diploma or GED and two years related experience * Science\-related degree preferred * Must obtain required certifications (Wastewater Class II within 3 years, WT\-5 within 4 years) * Valid Indiana Driver's License and CPR/First Aid certification * Ability to read technical documents, perform mathematical calculations, and follow safety procedures **WORK ENVIRONMENT** * Exposure to mechanical equipment, chemicals, and outdoor weather * Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, loud noise levels, and wastewater environments **Equal Opportunity Employer** Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
