**Vacancies Available** ---------------------- 1 **Company** ----------- Tragsa **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Empresa de Transformación Agraria, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., the parent company of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in works related to rural development and nature conservation, seeks to hire 1 Forestry Engineer to provide support in the Community of Madrid. **Workplace** -------------------- * Community of Madrid Address: Sierra Norte de Madrid and offices in Leganés (Madrid) **Functions and Tasks** ---------------------- * The technician’s functions will include coordination of the work crew in the Northern Zone of the Community of Madrid (CAM) and supervision of assigned tasks; quantification and assessment of damage to forests and their infrastructure; preparation of cartographic documents; measurements; marking for forest exploitation activities; and technical coordination and support to each Forest Management Service (I and II), focusing on: \- Weekly review of the condition of recreational areas and submission of a monthly report on their conservation status. This report shall specify: condition of furniture, signage, access points, quantities of collected waste, sanitary condition of tree vegetation, and observed damage. * Monitoring the condition of reforestation efforts carried out in forests over the past five years. A report shall be submitted before and after each summer, including counts of surviving seedlings, differentiated by species and stands according to soil characteristics, slopes, orientations, etc.; condition of protective devices or fencing; and detailed cartography. * Report on damage and incidents affecting forest vegetation masses and forest infrastructure (e.g., livestock fencing, watering troughs, damage caused by windstorms, heavy rains, snowfalls, etc.). Includes location, description of damage, and proposals for necessary interventions. * Monitoring the conservation status of forest tracks in forests managed by Forest Management Services. Submission of an annual valued report, or immediately following any torrential rainfall event or other incident causing damage, detailing affected sections—including cartography, photographic documentation, and valuation of required repair actions. * Inventory of forest infrastructure, with georeferencing of each element and its current characteristics. * Weekly report on ongoing forestry construction works in forests managed by each Service, specifying measurement of surface areas or other executed units and environmental assessment of potential damage caused, including, where applicable, photographic documentation and detailed cartography. * Layout, identification, and on-site delimitation (e.g., marking, staking, etc.) of operations to be performed by work crews or any others requested by the Service Manager. * Inventory of existing timber stocks in forested areas managed by Forest Management Services, included in the wood harvesting activities foreseen in the Annual Harvesting Plan, as well as in extraordinary harvesting activities processed during the term of this Service. In addition to inventory results, a report must be submitted specifying: \- Calculation of harvest volume required to ensure economic viability of timber extraction. \- Cartography indicating operational zones, including identification of stacking areas, extraction routes, and sensitive zones subject to specific restrictions. * Report on marking of standing timber conducted in coordination with work crews prior to execution of planned wood harvesting activities from each Forest Management Service, specifying type, weight, and nature of the observed thinning. Reports shall be submitted weekly starting from the beginning of marking activities. * Measurement of volume of extracted timber or firewood during harvesting operations, and report on damage caused by timber extraction. Report results shall be submitted every 15 days starting from the beginning of harvesting. **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with requirements and/or merits must be substantiated through evaluation tests and/or by attaching the necessary documentation in the “Annexes” section of the registration questionnaire.
