Who are we?
At The Sampling Solutions (TSS), we continue to grow and wish to bring on board a new member for our Operations team: a Field Operations Planner.
This is a newly created position that will play a key role in the day-to-day organization of our sampling services, coordinating technical staff, routes, materials, and our clients’ requirements.
What will be your mission?
Your primary objective will be to ensure that each service is executed at the right time, with the right resource, and as efficiently as possible.
To achieve this, you will plan and monitor daily operations, working in direct contact with the Operations Manager and our network of Samplers distributed across Spain.
We seek a proactive individual — not only capable of managing daily planning but also of anticipating staffing needs, coverage gaps, or potential deviations in advance.
Key responsibilities
\- Plan and organize sampling services requested by our clients.
\- Assign services to Samplers based on location, availability, qualifications, experience, and service-specific requirements.
\- Optimize routes, travel, and workload distribution.
\- Monitor daily progress of planned and pending services.
\- Manage last-minute changes, cancellations, incidents, and urgent requirements.
\- Maintain smooth communication with Samplers and confirm proper service coverage.
\- Analyze available capacity and anticipate staffing needs or shortages.
\- Keep all planning-related information up to date and reliable.
\- Coordinate with Logistics, Quality, Sales, and other departments as needed.
\- Analyze KPIs related to planning, productivity, coverage, and incidents.
\- Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to standardizing and automating planning processes.
\- Support the Operations Manager in the department’s daily coordination.
What are we looking for?
A person who is:
\- Highly organized and methodical.
\- Solution-oriented and proactive.
\- Capable of managing multiple services, people, and priorities simultaneously.
\- Skilled at making decisions amid changes and unforeseen events.
\- Strong in communication and coordination.
\- Rigorous with data and attentive to detail.
\- Comfortable using digital tools and management systems.
\- Focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
\- Dynamic, responsible, and self-motivated.
Especially valued
\- Experience in planning, logistics, traffic management, operations, or service coordination.
\- Experience in route or mobile workforce planning.
\- Experience working with geographically distributed technical teams.
\- Proficiency in Excel and ease of use with planning and management tools.
\- Ability to analyze operational data and work with KPIs.
\- Experience in service companies, logistics, laboratories, environmental sectors, or related fields.
\- Education in logistics, administration, business organization, or operations.
What do we offer?
\- Join a newly created role with real authority to define and develop the position.
\- Permanent contract.
\- Full-time employment.
\- Training and onboarding support.
\- Direct involvement in transforming and professionalizing the Operations area.
\- A role offering a company-wide perspective and cross-departmental interaction.
\- A dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth.
