Join us and become part of a global team of nearly 52,000 designers, engineers, planning experts, scientists, program and construction managers, and other professionals—contributing your technical expertise, passion, and drive to deliver projects that make a positive, tangible impact worldwide. **Job Description** We are seeking a **Senior Architect specializing in industrial projects** to lead the end-to-end development, coordination, and execution of complex projects—from initial design phases through construction and commissioning. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and manage industrial projects comprehensively—from conceptual and design phases through execution, delivery, and commissioning. * Plan, coordinate, and supervise internal and external multidisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient collaboration among architecture, engineering, specialized consulting, and construction. * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, public authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders—ensuring smooth communication and appropriate expectation management. * Oversee the technical development of projects, ensuring compliance with applicable urban, construction, environmental, and safety regulations. * Manage project scope, scheduling, risks, and resources—identifying deviations and defining corrective actions when necessary. * Monitor budgets, fees, and associated project costs—contributing to profitability and economic viability. * Drive innovative, sustainable solutions focused on optimizing industrial processes, spaces, and operations. * Ensure technical quality of deliverables and adherence to corporate standards and client requirements. **Requirements** **Education** * University degree in Architecture or equivalent. * Additional training in project management and industrial facility design is desirable. **Experience** * Minimum 10 years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, or construction. * At least 5 years of recent experience in developing and managing industrial projects. * Demonstrable experience leading and coordinating complex projects—including planning, financial management, and execution control. * Experience in direct client engagement and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. * Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken. **Knowledge** * Solid understanding of industrial facilities and processes, as well as sector-specific standards and regulations. * Experience in logistics projects, distribution centers, industrial automation, and material flow optimization is desirable. * Strong knowledge and experience with the Design & Assurance process in industrial projects—from concept through construction, testing, and commissioning—with familiarity across various delivery models and innovative project delivery methodologies. * Proficiency in BIM methodologies and experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments. * Advanced Revit skills and familiarity with coordination and project management tools. **Key Competencies** * Leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. * Strong client orientation and results-driven mindset. **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle—from advisory, planning, design, and engineering to program and construction management.
