Description
The CNC Lathe Operator position entails primary responsibility for controlling and supervising the manufacturing process using numerical control machinery. This includes performing critical tasks such as dimensional inspection of manufactured parts, utilizing various metrology tools to ensure products meet exact technical specifications. The operator must continuously monitor, operate, and supervise machines throughout their operational cycle, making necessary adjustments to raw materials, cutting tools, and components such as inserts. Additionally, adjustments to tool offsets in machine programs are required to optimize production and maintain quality. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and practical understanding of machining parameters to prevent errors and minimize equipment downtime. The ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications is fundamental to success in this position, ensuring every produced part complies with established quality standards. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to handle diverse materials and production types—from short runs to larger batches. Collaboration with other departments, such as Quality and Maintenance, is also an integral part of the workflow, contributing to an efficient and consistent manufacturing process.
This position offers a fixed work schedule on afternoon or night shifts, providing stability in working hours. The minimum hourly wage is set at EUR 15.87 gross, with potential increases based on experience and performance. The workplace features a convenient location, facilitating employee access and comfort. An industrial environment equipped with up-to-date technology is provided, and operators are expected to comply with company safety regulations and protocols at all times.
A minimum of three years’ experience in CNC manufacturing and/or automatic lathes is required, along with basic knowledge of ISO programming. Candidates must be familiar with verification tools such as calipers, micrometers, vernier calipers, and vision inspection systems to perform precise quality checks. Vocational Training (FP) at Medium or Higher Level in Mechanical Manufacturing is required to ensure a solid technical foundation in machining and metrology principles. Furthermore, the ability to work autonomously, resolve technical issues, and maintain a safe and organized workplace is highly valued.
