Job Description We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with solid experience in industrial environments, responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and availability of equipment and facilities. In this role, you will prioritize EHS aspects in all interventions, perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, and actively contribute to continuous process improvement. You will work closely with the operations team, using CMMS tools and technical documentation (drawings, schematics, P&IDs) to ensure an effective response to incidents and compliance with quality standards and good manufacturing practices. The position is located in Salamanca. What You Will Do Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to carry out the following responsibilities: * Prioritize EHS assessment prior to executing any corrective or preventive activity. * Ensure timely and proper execution of preventive maintenance tasks. * Actively participate in daily operational meetings of the department. * Track and execute assigned corrective maintenance work orders. * Complete work orders in the CMMS system fully and on time. * Manage material and spare parts requests, assigning them to work orders and tracking their delivery. Skills and Requirements To succeed in this role, it is important that you have: * Vocational training at intermediate or advanced level in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or equivalent. * Experience in industrial maintenance. * Knowledge of electrical systems or equipment, pneumatics, general mechanics (excluding vehicles), industrial air conditioning, and HVAC installations. * Ability to handle electrical manuals and schematics, as well as interpret drawings and P&IDs. **Desirable:** * Problem-solving skills in industrial environments. * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). * Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS), preferably SAP-based or similar. * Knowledge of data acquisition systems (SCADA or others). **Required Skills:** Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Computer Literacy, Electrical Maintenance, Equipment Commissioning, HVAC Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Instrument Calibrations, Managing Engineering Teams, Mechanical Maintenance, PLC Programming, Pneumatic Systems, Preventive Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Test Instruments **Preferred Skills:** Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
