Description
The Production Shift Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all operations within their assigned shift, ensuring that the manufacturing process proceeds smoothly, safely, and in accordance with established quality standards. Their primary role is to serve as the operational point of contact during the shift, making real-time decisions to address incidents, optimize resources, and ensure achievement of daily production targets.
In addition to operational supervision, this professional must ensure strict compliance with all applicable safety regulations and current quality protocols, fostering a safe working environment and a culture of continuous improvement. They must organize their assigned personnel, assign specific tasks, manage break times, and resolve any interpersonal or technical conflicts that may arise, while maintaining clear and effective communication with other departments such as maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
Their role is fundamental in bridging strategic planning with shop-floor execution, ensuring that material and human resources are utilized with maximum efficiency. They must possess an integrated understanding of the production process to identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and actively contribute to optimizing procedures, regularly reporting on shift performance and any significant deviations from established plans.
This position is offered under an indefinite-term contract providing job stability, with full-time working hours. The work schedule follows a rotating shift system, involving rotation among morning, afternoon, and night shifts, adapting to the operational needs of production.
A Higher Vocational Training qualification is required as mandatory education. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in industrial environments is necessary, performing supervisory duties such as shift supervisor, team leader, or line supervisor. Additional training or experience in food industry, automated processes, team management, food safety, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies will be considered favorably.
