Preparation, shaping, and cooking of tortillas **Secreto Maya, SL — a Mexican food producer and distributor currently undergoing expansion and growth — requires a highly motivated Production Operator / Factory Worker to join its Production Team.** The operator will be responsible for accurately loading ingredients — primarily corn, water, and other additives — into the mixer according to established specifications. They must ensure ingredient proportions and quality are appropriate to produce consistent, homogeneous dough. Main Responsibilities * Manually prepare dough, shape, and cook tortillas, maintaining high production quality standards. * Visually inspect tortillas to ensure optimal shape, texture, and flavor, discarding any that fail to meet established standards. * Operate and handle specialized tortilla production machinery — such as presses, mixers, and packaging machines — ensuring proper operation and maintenance. * Strictly adhere to food hygiene and safety regulations throughout the entire manufacturing process, guaranteeing product quality and safety. * Collaborate with other team members during production, following instructions and contributing to efficient workflow. * Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area, including machinery, equipment, and production utensils. * Monitor and report any irregularities in machinery operation or any issues related to product quality. * Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. * Ensure compliance with production standards regarding quantity and quality of manufactured tortillas. Experience * Prior experience in food manufacturing plants or similar industries is preferred. * Good physical condition to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks. Required Skills: * Experience operating machinery specifically used for tortilla or similar food production. * Manual dexterity for precise dough handling and efficient tortilla production. * Knowledge of and ability to apply food hygiene and safety standards. * Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
