Position Summary: We are seeking PhDs in Mathematics or Statistics to develop expertise in Operations Research and process optimization. Key Highlights: 1. Dynamic environment with challenging technological projects 2. Collaboration with the Technology Advisory Council, CÁTEDRA Group 3. Continuous training and professional development plan **Hello! We are OGA** We’re thrilled that you’re considering this employment opportunity. We are a pioneering company in the hybridization of Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research, headquartered in Seville. Our goal is to transform industries through innovative, high-impact solutions for our clients—leaders in sectors such as logistics, *supply chain*, industrial, and chemical. We achieve this thanks to the talent of our team—including mathematicians, statisticians, and software developers—and the trust of major clients. Additionally, we maintain close collaboration with the University through our Technology Advisory Council, CÁTEDRA Group—comprising 14 nationally and internationally renowned professors specializing in Operations Research and data science—with whom we reinforce our scientific value proposition. **About the Position.** We seek **PhDs in Mathematics or Statistics** who wish to develop their careers within Operations Research—and more specifically—in solving process optimization problems. **What You’ll Do:** * Mathematical modeling of optimization problems. Solving them using commercial solvers such as GUROBI, CPLEX, HEXALY, or similar tools. * Design, implementation, and validation of optimization algorithms (evolutionary, population-based, and/or trajectory-based). * Multi-objective optimization: challenges, advantages, disadvantages, approaches, etc. * Review and analysis of data provided by clients. * End-to-end validation testing of cloud-based applications. * Develop and implement mathematical and statistical models for process optimization. * Apply Operations Research techniques to solve complex decision-making and planning problems. * Analyze and validate data to identify opportunities for process improvement. * Design efficient computational algorithms and solutions for optimization. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement optimal solutions. * Document and communicate analysis results and proposals to stakeholders. * Explore new methodologies and tools in the field of Operations Research and optimization. * Supervise and support technical teams in implementing developed models and solutions. **First Weeks at OGA** From day one, you’ll be supported by the entire team. The People department will organize a series of onboarding meetings at three levels with various OGA leaders: covering general aspects and internal systems, the company’s purpose, and the technologies we use. You’ll also meet your Buddy, who will guide you—especially during your first month—throughout the integration process. Together with your Buddy, you’ll have scheduled meetings to address any topics facilitating your adaptation. **Requirements:** * PhD in Mathematics — PhD in Statistics. Other related PhDs involving process optimization will be considered favorably. * Experience participating in complex process optimization projects using mathematical programming or heuristics (e.g., evolutionary algorithms, metaheuristics such as genetic algorithms, tabu search, scatter search, or differential evolution); familiarity with real-world problems such as logistics optimization, supply chain, planning, task scheduling, and/or workforce scheduling; and collaboration with Operations Research and software development teams to build products maximizing value for our clients. * Strong proficiency in Python programming is essential. Knowledge of other platforms and languages is desirable. **What We Value:** * Expertise in mathematical programming, goal programming, multi-objective optimization, etc. * Proficiency with tools such as CPLEX, LocalSolver (Hexaly), Gurobi, XPress, or similar. * English level C1. * Interest in pursuing a technical career and commitment to technological specialization. * Passion for technology and for creating client value. * Teamwork and collaborative spirit. * Results orientation, proactivity, and teamwork. **What We Offer:** * A dynamic and flexible work environment, with technologically challenging projects and clients, based in our Seville office. * The opportunity to join a passionate team focused on data and technological innovation—including senior and junior profiles from mathematics, statistics, data science, and software development, among others. * Ongoing collaboration with the CÁTEDRA Group—the Technology Advisory Council of OGA—comprising 13 nationally and internationally renowned professors specialized in Operations Research and data science. * Access to diverse Generative AI tools, helping us accelerate delivery timelines, increase productivity, minimize fatigue and overload, and ultimately maximize OGA’s efficiency and profitability. * An onboarding session with OGA and People department leaders, during which you’ll receive your welcome kit. * Participation in corporate events where you can meet and interact with the rest of the team in a relaxed and enjoyable way. * Attendance at the annual CÁTEDRA Group congress in Seville, featuring the latest advances and projects in Operations Research and data science, with a comprehensive scientific, educational, and debate agenda. * A continuous training plan. At OGA, continuous learning is a core value and a pillar of our commitment to personal and professional development. Inspired by the concept of ikigai, we aim to help each person discover what motivates them and enables growth within the organization. Therefore, we’ll propose training initiatives we consider valuable for your development. However, you’ll take the initiative in your own growth—identifying what excites you and proposing desired trainings to your manager. Together, we’ll assess their feasibility, value contribution, and alignment with OGA’s strategy. * Commitment to inclusion and diversity. At OGA, we take talent very seriously. We believe every individual brings something unique and special—so it’s part of our commitment to provide an environment where everyone can shine. * Social and professional benefits integrated into a comprehensive work-life balance plan.
