At Mikuna, a Peruvian restaurant located in Chamberí, Madrid, we are seeking an experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a responsible, punctual, solution-oriented, and positive individual capable of organizing service, coordinating the front-of-house team, and maintaining professional yet friendly interactions with customers. Prior restaurant experience is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and make decisions during busy periods. We need a proactive person with strong communication skills and the capacity to resolve stressful situations quickly and effectively. Main responsibilities Organization and supervision of dining room and terrace service. Coordination of the waitstaff team during shifts. Direct customer interaction and service. Management of reservations, table assignments, and service pace. Assisting with order taking and explaining the menu. Supervising table setup and clearing. Resolving incidents occurring during service. Maintaining order, cleanliness, and proper presentation of the dining area. Collaborating with kitchen, bar, and management to ensure an excellent customer experience. Requirements Previous experience as Head Waiter/Waitress, Front-of-House Supervisor, or Waiter/Waitress with leadership responsibilities. Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance. Responsible, punctual, and well-organized. Ability to lead and coordinate teams. Capacity to work under pressure during peak service hours. Solution-oriented attitude when facing problems or stressful situations. Availability for full-time work, including split shifts, lunch and dinner services, and weekends. Preferred qualifications Experience in high-volume restaurants. Familiarity with Peruvian cuisine or willingness to learn. Strong communication skills with both team members and customers. Proficiency in reservation management and dining room organization.
