Define the technical direction and propose improvements within a multidisciplinary team Senior Fullstack Engineer WayOps is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who wants to continue growing professionally by participating in a project within a demanding environment in the pharmaceutical sector—leading the design and evolution of critical applications within a cutting-edge digital ecosystem, with a strong focus on architecture, integration of complex systems, and AI-driven process automation via intelligent agents. PROJECT & TEAM You will join strategic corporate application development initiatives for one of our key international clients in the pharmaceutical sector. The project focuses on designing and evolving end\-to\-end web applications within a robust digital ecosystem, integrating corporate systems and intelligent automation through AI-assisted workflows, under an evolved RPA (Robotic Process Automation) vision aimed at building autonomous agents. You will integrate into a high-performing, multidisciplinary technical team composed of frontend and backend engineers and data specialists across various seniority levels, coordinated by a Technical Lead. The team operates collaboratively, grounded in event-driven architectures, microservices, and a working methodology where technical decisions are made collectively to ensure long-term scalability. Your role will be pivotal in defining the technical direction, acting as a reference point who thinks in terms of architecture and platform dependencies beyond code alone. You are expected to provide technical leadership without formal hierarchy—challenging current solutions and proposing improvements that ensure system stability and observability. RESPONSIBILITIES On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the architecture and development of modern applications using state-of-the-art technology stacks, actively participating in tasks such as: * Design and development of end\-to\-end web applications integrating corporate systems * Active participation in defining event-driven architectures and queue management using Kafka or messaging systems (MQ) * Implementation of AI-agent-assisted workflows and intelligent automation under an advanced RPA vision * Definition of APIs, microservice contracts, and decoupled architecture designs * Documentation of critical technical and architectural decisions using ADR (Architecture Decision Records) * Ensuring quality, testing, and observability across all developments * Performance optimization and monitoring of digital ecosystem integrity Although technical support will be available, you are expected to lead your tasks autonomously, assuming full responsibility for design decisions and continuous software improvement. REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE To be considered, you must have a solid track record in complex environments and a systems architecture mindset. Essential skills and knowledge include: * Strong backend development experience with frameworks such as Python (FastAPI/Django) or Node.js * Advanced frontend experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript (SSR and hybrid rendering) * Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging tools such as Kafka or messaging systems (MQ) * Advanced SQL proficiency and corporate system integration (ERPs, third-party APIs) * Architecture documentation (ADR) * Expert use of Git in collaborative environments and CI/CD deployment following best practices **Additionally, the following will be highly valued:** * Experience implementing AI agents and orchestrating LLM-powered workflows * Use of AI-augmented development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar * Prior experience integrating with SAP or other large-scale enterprise environments * Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and DevOps mindset CONTRACT & LOCATION Collaboration will preferably be as an independent professional, with annual contracts and tacit renewal, within a long-term project designed to offer stability and continuity. For candidates with exceptional technical or cultural fit, indefinite employment contracts may be considered. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). Close collaboration with the team is required; therefore, a hybrid model is mandatory (attending client offices located in Madrid/Sanchinarro three days per week) to facilitate communication and drive project momentum.
