We operate on a simple idea: *better decisions, together.* **The Challenge** We are looking for an AS400 (RPG) Developer to join an established company, a sector leader and part of a European international group with over 35 years of presence in Spain. This is a direct client role within a high-volume transactional technology environment where AS400 applications support critical day-to-day business processes. You will integrate into a stable technical team with a collaborative culture and cross-functional collaboration between IT and business. As an AS400 Developer, your responsibilities will include: * Developing and maintaining AS400 (IBM i) applications, ensuring their stability and performance. * Building new RPG functionalities aligned with business requirements. * Interpreting, optimizing, and refactoring existing RPG code and other compatible languages in the environment. * Diagnosing and resolving technical incidents, ensuring operational continuity. * Collaborating with technical and business teams to translate functional needs into concrete solutions. * Documenting developments and changes to ensure long-term maintainability. **Requirements** * Minimum 5 years of experience in AS400 and RPG development. * Solid knowledge of AS400 programming tools. * Ability to interpret, maintain, and optimize RPG code. * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. * Ability to collaborate across different departments. **Nice-to-Have** * Experience in Java development. * Experience working in environments with integrations between AS400 and external systems. **What We Offer** * 30 days of vacation. * Permanent contract directly with the company. * Hybrid work model: 2 remote workdays and 3 office days per week, coordinated with your manager. * 37.5-hour weekly working schedule, with shortened hours on Fridays. * Flexible start time between 8:00 and 9:15, with adjusted end time. * Health insurance for the employee and their spouse or one child upon completion of the first year with the company. * Childcare allowance of €85 per month. * Meal allowance of €11 per working day. **Equal Opportunity** At Tessera Human Capital, we believe in equal opportunity.
