Internship – Packaging & NPD – Global Category Management
**Location:** Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), with frequent interaction with European manufacturing plants and collaboration with international teams in Procurement, Engineering, Product Management, and R&D.

We are currently seeking an intern for Packaging & New Product Development (NPD) to support the Global Category Management team, participating in international projects and collaborating with key company departments.
Your Mission
Support the Global Category Management team in operational, analytical, and project management activities related to Packaging and New Product Development (NPD) categories.
This position combines data analysis, project tracking, supplier coordination, and collaboration with technical teams—offering an excellent opportunity to gain a global business perspective and develop within a strategic area of the company.
Among other responsibilities, you will participate in supplier performance tracking, information analysis, quotation requests (RFQs), and support sourcing and product development initiatives.
What will be your responsibilities?
Support for Category Management
Update and analyze procurement, consumption, and volume data by supplier, plant, and category.
Support tracking of market indices (PPI and raw materials).
Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for Commodity Managers.
Identify improvement opportunities and support Value Improvement (VI) initiatives.
Compile and consolidate suppliers’ Component Bills of Materials (CBOMs).
Support quotation requests (RFQs) and supplier follow-up.
Analyze information to support strategic category decision-making.
Support for New Product Development (NPD) Projects
Maintain up-to-date NPD project trackers.
Follow up with Project Managers and various departments to collect information and update project status.
Support preparation and follow-up of RFQs.
Collaborate in managing and maintaining tools such as Smartsheet and SharePoint.
Participate in new product development projects alongside Engineering, Procurement, and Product Management teams.
Document Management and Sourcing Support
Maintain updated supplier and material databases.
Organize technical and commercial documentation.
Support identification of new suppliers and collection of market information.
Prepare documentation for meetings, analyses, and strategic projects.
Coordinate follow-up actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance Support
Collaborate in collecting information for sustainability projects.
Support tracking of European regulations related to packaging and materials.
Manage collection of certifications and documentation required from suppliers.
What are we looking for?
Education
**Final-year student or Master’s degree candidate in:**
Industrial Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Industrial Organization Engineering
Business Administration and Management (ADE)
Supply Chain Management
Or related fields
Technical Competencies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Pivot tables, formulas, and analysis of large datasets.
Interest in data analysis and project management.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings.
Familiarity with technical and engineering environments.
High level of English.
Power BI knowledge is a plus.
Experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar tools is a plus.
