Handle all guest check-ins, verify guest identification, payment method, room assignment, distribution and activation of room keys. Set up accounts upon guest arrival based on their requirements. Enter information into the Marriott Rewards program. Ensure rates align with market prices and document exceptions. Obtain payment prior to issuing the room key, verify and adjust billing. Compile and verify daily occupancy reports/journals/lists. Complete cash and closing reports. Inform and direct guests, and provide information about the hotel. Respond to guest requests by engaging appropriate staff as needed. Follow up to ensure requests are addressed. Process all types of payments, vouchers, refunds and charges. Balance and deposit revenue. Conduct cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift. Obtain manual authorizations and follow up on all procedures mandated by Accounting. Notify Property Protection/Security immediately upon receiving a theft report from a guest. Assist management in training, evaluating, coaching, motivating and mentoring employees; serve as a role model and resource for Guarantee of Fair Treatment (GFT) / Open Door Policy (ODP). Develop and maintain positive professional relationships; collaborate and support one another to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns. Adhere to and implement all brand policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor; complete safety trainings and certifications; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times while on duty; respect confidentiality of hotel-related information; protect all company assets. Welcome and greet guests, anticipate and respond to guest needs, assist guests with reduced mobility, and warmly thank guests. Communicate clearly and professionally; prepare and accurately proofread written documents; answer the telephone using appropriate language. Uphold quality standards. Enter and retrieve information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems. Be accustomed to standing, sitting and moving for extended periods. Lift, carry, pull, push and place loads weighing up to 4.5 kilograms independently. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisors that are consistent with this position.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
Related work experience:At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory experience:At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
