Follow up on guest issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Process all guest arrivals through reservation confirmation, room assignment, key distribution, and key activation. Process all types of payments, including room charges, cash, checks, and credit cards. Set up accurate accounts upon guest arrival (e.g., shared room, incidentals/expenses/separate room, gift). Anticipate overbooking situations and arrange satisfactory alternative accommodations when the hotel cannot accommodate guests with confirmed reservations. Block rooms using computerized tools and identify specific guest needs and requirements. Contact the appropriate staff member or department (e.g., bell staff, housekeeping) to respond to guest calls and requests or resolve issues. Collaborate with housekeeping to monitor room preparation prior to guest arrival. Review shift logs/daily logs and enter all relevant information into the department log. Conduct cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift. Balance and deposit revenue according to Accounting specifications. Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching staff; serve as a role model and resource for Guarantee of Fair Treatment (Guarantee of Equality)/Open Door Policy procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and any unsafe working conditions to the supervisor; complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications. Follow and implement all brand policies and procedures; ensure wearing of clean, complete uniform; maintain neat and professional appearance at all times while on duty; respect confidentiality of hotel-related information. Anticipate and address guest maintenance needs. Use clear and courteous language in all communications; prepare and proofread documents accurately and thoroughly; answer the telephone using appropriate language. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Lift, carry, pull, push, and place loads weighing up to 4.5 kilograms independently.
