Teamwork and commitment At Garden Hotel Group, we are seeking a **Kitchen Assistant** to join the Kitchen Department of Alcanada Golf Hotel. Your **mission** will be to assist in preparing and presenting the food produced in the kitchen. What will your **responsibilities** be? * Assist in food preparation under the direct supervision of the assigned Chef or Station Head, adhering to quality standards, contributing to the efficient operation of the kitchen and guest and customer satisfaction at the hotel. * Organize the walk-in cooler and refrigerators in your station to ensure optimal use of products, thereby avoiding food waste and minimizing losses to the greatest extent possible. * Perform all assigned tasks and production requirements efficiently and promptly as directed by your immediate supervisor. * Handle all operational equipment with extreme caution during transportation to prevent accidents, spills, or breakages, always complying with safety regulations. * Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards in all duties, maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and order; minimizing accident risks arising from unsafe practices; ensuring the quality and reliability of prepared food; and promptly reporting any anomalies or deviations to your immediate supervisor. * Prepare (mise en place) ingredients and tools required by the Chef and Station Head for menu items, buffets, etc. * Prepare the workstation, utensils, machinery, storage, and preservation of ingredients; monitor expiration dates for both prepared and unprepared products, including perishable and non-perishable items. * Guarantee proper hygiene and cleaning of storage surfaces and containers. What are the **requirements** for this position? * Minimum education: Intermediate Vocational Training in Cooking. * Prior experience in this role, minimum 6 months (in a hotel kitchen or similar environment). * English language proficiency: intermediate level. * Knowledge of various kitchen stations (cold, hot, desserts, etc.). * Food Handler Certificate.
