About the Role As a **Host / Hostess at Sofia Bar**, you will act as an ambassador of the Hyatt brand, ensuring guests feel welcomed, cared for, and comfortably accommodated from the moment they arrive. This is an **operational part‑time position (30 hours per week)** with a **temporary contract**, working on a **rotating schedule** that includes afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts according to operational needs. You will work closely with the Bar, Service, and Management teams to ensure organized guest flow and an outstanding overall experience. Key Responsibilities The **Host / Hostess** is responsible for guest reception and flow within Sofia Bar, supporting service operations and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * **Welcoming guests warmly and professionally**, creating a positive first impression * Managing **guest seating and table assignments** in coordination with service and bar teams * Monitoring guest flow and waiting times to support smooth and efficient operations * Providing basic information about the venue, menus, and promotions when required * Assisting with **reservation management and guest lists** when applicable * Maintaining a **clean, organized, and presentable reception area** * Communicating effectively with waitstaff, bartenders, and supervisors to support service needs * Handling guest inquiries or concerns with discretion, courtesy, and a solutions‑oriented approach * Supporting opening, closing, and side duties as assigned by management * Adhering at all times to **Hyatt brand standards, appearance guidelines, and service etiquette** Qualifications Requirements \& Profile * Previous experience as a **Host / Hostess or in a guest‑facing hospitality role** is highly desirable * Friendly, positive, and **guest‑focused attitude** with excellent interpersonal skills * **Strong communication skills** and a professional demeanor * **Fluency in Spanish and English** is required; additional languages are a plus * Ability to remain calm, organized, and attentive in a **fast‑paced environment** * Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues * **Professional appearance** and adherence to Hyatt grooming and uniform standards * Flexibility to work **rotating shifts**, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends * Reliable, responsible, and detail‑oriented approach to work Care Connects Us – Do Our Values Speak to You?
