Grupo Planeta is currently looking for a **Laboratory Practice Technician** for our university VIU, part of the Planeta Formación y Universidades division.
We seek a proactive candidate with strong planning skills and technical rigor to manage practice classrooms and laboratories, including coordination of in-person experimental sessions.
What would be your main responsibilities?
**Management of Practice Spaces and Schedules**
* Design and supervise in-person practice schedules, coordinating shifts, classrooms, and availability of teaching staff and facilities.
* Organize student group logistics to ensure compliance with occupancy limits and academic timetables.
* Act as the liaison point between the Faculty and the centers or locations where practices are conducted.
**Stock and Supplies Control**
* Manage inventory of reagents, consumable materials, and technical equipment.
* Process purchase orders, material receipt, supplier management, and invoicing.
* Ensure proper storage and preservation of products according to safety regulations and labeling requirements.
**Technical Preparation and Support**
* Prepare required materials, equipment, and samples for each practical session following teaching guidelines.
* Perform basic preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment and coordinate repairs with external service providers.
* Provide technical support to teaching staff during practical sessions.
**Quality, Safety, and Documentation**
* Guarantee compliance with Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) and biosafety regulations in the laboratory.
* Supervise proper management of chemical or biological waste.
* Keep academic, technical, user manuals, and safety protocols documentation up to date.
What would we like to see in your CV?
* Education: University degree or Higher Vocational Training qualification in Clinical Laboratory, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields. University qualifications related to the field will be valued.
* Experience: At least 1\-2 years in laboratories, preferably in university or training environments.
* Tools: Advanced proficiency in Excel (inventory control) and fluency in digital environments.
* Desirable: Experience using inventory management tools or academic management software. Knowledge of invoicing and budget management.
