Description
We are looking for **a chef** to join our culinary team in a dynamic, high-quality environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting chefs in ingredient preparation, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and orderly.
**Responsibilities:**
* Organize workstations with all necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment.
* Prepare ingredients for cooking (e.g., chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.) and plate food according to recipes and hotel specifications, ensuring all dishes are prepared promptly and to high quality standards.
* Operate all kitchen equipment and utensils provided by the company.
* Supervise and train kitchen assistants and junior staff as needed.
* Collaborate in developing new dishes and menus under the Chef’s direction.
* Submit ingredient lists to superiors based on service requirements; forecast and anticipate preparations for the menu or dishes.
* Support and assist personnel under their responsibility.
* Provide training and correct any observed deviations among collaborators, reporting them to their superior or the Chef.
* Maintain workstations in perfect cleanliness and order.
* Cook and prepare recipes according to provided technical sheets and verify that they are executed perfectly.
* Maintain personal appearance, wear the correct uniform, and strictly adhere to kitchen shifts and schedules.
* Forecast and anticipate needs for products, ingredients, or any items required to ensure uninterrupted operations.
**Requirements:**
* Food Handler’s Certificate (mandatory).
* Prior experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in the hotel sector. Hospitality school training.
* Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen utensil handling.
* Ability to work well in teams and under pressure.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Availability to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays.
