Continuous training: We invest in and promote your talent, with special emphasis on improving your language skills. **Your day-to-day responsibilities will include…** * Ensuring achievement of departmental objectives and compliance with critical processes and service setups, according to hotel standards. * Verifying the quality of ingredients used for dish preparation. * Planning preparations in advance to execute service as efficiently as possible. * Cleaning, peeling, and cutting food items for side dish preparation. * Preparing simpler dishes following technical specifications, verifying ingredient quality and adhering to organizational presentation standards. * Supporting the chef in dish preparation and cooking to guarantee high-quality final products. * Assisting in buffet setup, maintenance, and breakdown. * Cleaning your station, work table, and leaving the kitchen clean and ready for the next service. * Storing received products appropriately, ensuring cold chain integrity. * Placing and organizing food items in refrigerated chambers and cleaning them to ensure hygiene and proper product preservation. * Ensuring correct use of kitchen equipment, inspecting and monitoring for any issues, and reporting them immediately if they arise. * Assisting in compiling lists of products with reduced stock. **Requirements:** --------------- **You are ideal for this position if…** Vocational or Higher Vocational Training in Cooking and Gastronomy or equivalent; Food Handler Certificate. Minimum 1 year of experience in this role within a 5* and luxury-segment environment. Experience with Leading Hotels of the World, Preferred Hotels & Resorts or similar is highly valued.
