Job Summary: We are seeking responsible and proactive cleaning staff to maintain hygiene and order across various surfaces and facilities, following safety protocols and using appropriate cleaning products. MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * **Surface and Floor Cleaning:** * Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish all types of flooring (ceramic, marble, wood, carpets, polished concrete). * Perform wet and dry cleaning according to surface type. * Use appropriate products and tools for each floor type. * **Dusting:** * Remove dust from furniture, shelves, desks, computer equipment (with care), lamps, picture frames, moldings, baseboards, and fans. * Clean high and low surfaces systematically. * **Restrooms and Bathrooms:** * Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, shower screens, mirrors, and faucets daily. * Restock consumables: toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, air freshener, and disinfectant. * Keep restrooms odor-free and in optimal hygienic condition. * **Kitchen and Dining Area (if applicable):** * Clean countertops, sinks, appliances (microwave, refrigerator, oven exterior), kitchen furniture, and tiles. * Wash and dry utensils and tableware if required. * Maintain a clean and orderly dining area. * **Glass and Mirrors:** * Clean windows (accessible safely), mirrors, and glass surfaces, leaving them streak-free and spotless. * **Waste Management:** * Empty wastebaskets and trash bins daily. * Separate waste for recycling according to organizational policies. * Dispose of trash in designated containers. * Keep containers clean and disinfected. * **Equipment Maintenance:** * Clean and maintain work equipment and tools (vacuum cleaners, mops, buckets, scrubbers, etc.). * Report to supervisor when cleaning supplies need replenishment or tools require repair. * Use cleaning products efficiently to avoid waste. * **Incident Monitoring:** * Identify and report any anomalies, malfunctions, or damages observed in the facilities (leaks, burnt-out lights, breakages, etc.). * **Regulatory Compliance:** * Follow the organization’s established cleaning protocols. * Comply with safety and hygiene regulations when handling chemical products. * Use provided personal protective equipment (PPE): gloves, mask, apron, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS (Adapted for India) * **Academic Qualification:** * Minimum **8th or 10th pass** (depending on company). * For luxury hotels or multinational companies, completion of the **Secondary School Certificate (SSC)** is preferred. * **Prior Experience:** * **No experience:** Candidates without experience are accepted for basic cleaning roles; on-the-job training is provided. * **With experience:** A minimum of **6 months to 2 years** in similar roles (hotels, offices, hospitals, schools, etc.) is positively regarded. * Experience in **hotel housekeeping** or **corporate office cleaning** is especially valued for certain positions. * **Knowledge:** * Basic handling of cleaning products and correct dilution methods. * Knowledge of cleaning techniques tailored to different surface types. * Familiarity with cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, polishers, steam cleaners) — preferred but not always required. * **Required Documentation:** * **Aadhaar Card** (mandatory). * **PAN Card** (for formalizing employment contract). * Proof of address. * Police Verification Certificate (criminal background check) — especially for positions in households, schools, or banks. * **Languages:** * Hindi (fluent — essential for communication with supervisors and colleagues). * Basic English (valued in hotels, corporate offices, and tourist areas). * Regional languages based on location (Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.). * **Availability:** * Flexibility to work **rotating shifts** (morning, afternoon, night). * Availability to work **weekends and holidays**, as required by service needs. * For certain roles (hotels, hospitals), availability for rotating 24-hour shifts may be required. * **Health and Physical Condition:** * Good physical condition to stand, bend, lift objects (up to 10–15 kg), and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. * A medical fitness certificate may be required in some cases.
