Job Summary: We are seeking an Assistant Housekeeper for a hotel in Málaga, responsible for performing qualified, autonomous, and accountable tasks related to housekeeping, public areas, back-of-house areas, linen room, and laundry. We are looking for an **Assistant Housekeeper** to join our hotel in central Málaga. **Primary Objective:** To perform, in a qualified, autonomous, and accountable manner, tasks related to housekeeping, public areas, back-of-house areas, linen room, and laundry. Main responsibilities include: * Inspect all check-out rooms and conduct sampling inspections of occupied guest rooms * Plan the daily work schedule for the Housekeeping Department using the control sheet * Schedule housekeeping staff shifts * Monitor external laundry linen inventory * Monitor internal laundry linen (guests’ personal laundry) * Record maintenance issues in the maintenance logbook and report them to Reception * Reconcile the room status rack with Reception * Coordinate with the Reception Department to fulfill special guest requests * Train new housekeeping staff members * Supervise overall hotel cleanliness (all areas) * Responsible for the Legionella prevention procedure: * Responsible for storing and tracking lost-and-found items via a dedicated logbook * Monitor expiration dates of minibar products * Select new candidates for the department’s staffing roster REQUIREMENTS * 3–5 years of experience in a housekeeping department * Organizational skills, methodical approach, leadership ability, attention to detail, thoroughness * Intermediate English proficiency.
