What projects do we develop? About the team In Advanced Analytics, we work to create value for the organization by leveraging data. Our team collaborates cross-functionally with 40 areas across the CaixaBank Group, building business-impact solutions: we contribute to improving decision-making, optimizing processes, personalizing customer relationships, and uncovering new opportunities for efficiency and growth. About the position We are seeking a Data Scientist to participate in the design and development of analytical use cases, whose mission is to build robust and actionable solutions to solve business problems. The selected candidate will combine advanced technical skills with impact orientation, working cross-functionally with business, technology, data, and other specialist teams. **Responsibilities:** Develop analytical solutions aimed at solving real banking problems. Solutions typically involve building predictive models, segmentation, scoring systems, optimization models, or advanced analyses based on the specific use case requirements. Apply best practices for validation, interpretability, robustness, and monitoring of solutions. Collaborate with business areas to ensure analytical solutions address real needs and integrate into decision-making processes: Communicating analytical results effectively, adapting the message according to the audience type. Supporting end-user teams in adopting developed solutions. Contributing to preparing materials, sessions, training, or content for the Analytics Community. Minimum requirements Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative disciplines such as engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related fields. Specialized education in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics will be valued. Experience At least two years of prior experience developing analytical models, machine learning, or applied data science for business problems. Consulting experience will be valued. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, combining business dialogue and technical development. Experience in industrialization, monitoring, or production deployment of models will be valued. Key competencies Excellent programming skills in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation. Solid knowledge of data science and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy). Excellent proficiency in SQL/BigQuery for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Strong practices in documentation, reproducibility, and code quality. **Nice to have:** Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP. Knowledge of visualization and BI tools, e.g., QlikSense or Looker. Experience with generative AI models. **MLOps knowledge:** versioning, monitoring, and performance control. What do we offer? Job profile Query, structure, and analyze large volumes of data using statistical and programming capabilities. Capable of developing and implementing analytical solutions (e.g., dashboards, predictive models) to address the entity’s business use-case needs holistically (i.e., from problem understanding through implementation and monitoring). Familiar with and applies best practices in software development and machine learning model development. Able to communicate insights/results of analytical solutions clearly and structuredly via presentations and/or dashboards.
