At the Joviar Residential Center, we understand that a high quality of life goes far beyond assistance. We work with a Person-Centered Care model, where each activity has a therapeutic, social, or emotional objective and contributes to giving meaning to the daily lives of residents. We are seeking a social educator with initiative, creativity, and organizational skills who wishes to lead the center’s activities project and become part of an interdisciplinary team committed to care quality and continuous improvement.
FUNCTIONS: 1\. Design and coordination of the Annual Activities Plan • Design, develop, implement, and monitor the center’s Annual Activities Plan. • Schedule therapeutic, social, cultural, recreational, and community-based activities tailored to residents’ interests, preferences, and abilities. • Coordinate the center’s annual calendar of activities, celebrations, outings, and events. • Ensure that activity programming promotes autonomy, active participation, social relationships, and emotional well-being. • Periodically evaluate the outcomes of the activities program and propose improvement actions. 2\. Socioeducational intervention • Carry out individual and group activities adapted to different functional and cognitive profiles. • Encourage active participation of residents in center life. • Promote meaningful activities that strengthen preserved capacities, personal interests, and community involvement. • Personalize activities according to each resident’s life history, interests, preferences, and abilities, fostering meaningful experiences that reinforce identity, autonomy, and emotional well-being. • Support social inclusion and participation of service users in community-open activities. 3\. Interdisciplinary teamwork • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings. • Coordinate with psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, nursing, and other professionals at the center. • Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Care and Life Plans (ICLPs). • Collaborate in defining therapeutic objectives related to social participation, meaningful occupation, and emotional well-being. 4\. Resource coordination and community participation • Coordinate activities carried out with local social, cultural, and educational entities. • Establish relationships with associations, schools, organizations, and other community agents to foster residents’ social participation. • Organize intergenerational and community-based activities. • Supervise and monitor students undertaking Social Education internships or internships in related disciplines, supporting their learning and integration into the team when the center offers such opportunities. 5\. Communication and social media management • Manage and animate the center’s social media channels, highlighting activities, workshops, celebrations, outings, projects, and other initiatives developed at the center. • Create and publish content (photos, videos, and texts) reflecting the center’s daily life, its values, and its Person-Centered Care model. • Ensure all published content consistently respects residents’ and users’ privacy, dignity, right to image, and corresponding authorizations. • Contribute to increasing visibility of the center’s project and conveying an active, approachable, and positive image, strengthening communication with families and the community. 6\. Training and guidance for staff • Deliver internal training to auxiliary staff on meaningful activities, therapeutic occupation, cognitive stimulation, adapting activities to each resident’s abilities, and strategies to foster active participation of service users. • Provide practical tools so professionals incorporate daily activities into routine care. • Collaborate with the psychologist in training staff on dementia, cognitive decline, communication, and managing complex situations. • Promote a Person-Centered Care culture through awareness-raising and continuous professional training. 7\. Quality management and continuous improvement • Participate in developing and reviewing protocols related to the therapeutic area. • Record interventions and monitor established objectives. • Evaluate outcomes of implemented activities. • Propose innovative initiatives contributing to improving residents’ quality of life. • Collaborate in the center’s continuous improvement projects.
* Minimum 1 year of experience. Preference will be given to experience in: • Residential centers. • Elderly populations. • Dementia. • Person-Centered Care. • Group facilitation. • Design of socioeducational programs and projects.

Preferred qualifications include: • Training in Person-Centered Care (PCC). • Training in dementia and cognitive decline. • Knowledge of cognitive stimulation and non-pharmacological interventions. • Experience in designing and evaluating activities programs. • Knowledge or experience in social media management, digital content creation, and basic photo and video editing tools.
