Job Summary: Responsible for operating and maintaining plant and laboratory equipment, processing carotenoids, and participating in continuous improvement and compliance with safety and quality regulations. Training in safety, hygiene, and food handling. ### **1\.** **Purpose of the position** Processing from Beta-carotene crystal and/or other carotenoids to liquid CWD formulation and/or oil suspension. Housekeeping and cleaning tasks at the work station. Maintenance tasks as described in the SOPs specific to the position and in autonomous maintenance checklists and maintenance support templates for the Maintenance team. Participation in continuous improvement activities such as indicator monitoring, improvement proposals, and improvement events. Active participation in fulfilling safety and environmental requirements and related activities, including safety/environmental meetings and reporting of unsafe conditions. ### **2\.** **Position context** Responsible for carrying out the described operations and recording required data on operation sheets and work instructions, in accordance with direct instructions from the shift supervisor and Operations and Quality Control managers. Responsible for operating plant and laboratory equipment and facilities per work instructions and maintaining them in appropriate cleanliness conditions. ### **3\.** **Position content** * + - * Plant/DCS operation: opening and closing manual and automatic valves; acting on control loops. * Start-up/Shutdown/Functional checking of the following on-site equipment: * Tanks on oil and powder production lines * Auxiliary equipment on oil and powder production lines * + - * Crystal charging. * Starch charging. * Cleaning of equipment and facilities. * Transporting waste generated at the workstation to the designated collection point. * Data acquisition/entry into the computer system. * Analytical process control. ### **4\.** **Complexity of the position** Medium level of initiative and autonomy Low work difficulty No supervisory responsibility ### **5\.** **Knowledge and educational level** Laboratory Analyst. Food Handler Training. ### **6\.** **SHE Requirements** Theoretical and Practical Training in the Emergency Plan Firefighting Training: Use of Fire Extinguishers, Indoor Fire Hydrants (BIEs), Outdoor Hydrants, and Emergency Response Assemblies (ERAs) Training on Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) specific to the position Risks and Preventive Measures Related to Forklift Trucks Manual Handling of Loads Handling and Storage of Chemical Products, Hygiene, CLP Regulation, Labeling, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Waste Management Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products handled SHE Policy of DSM-FIRMENICH LSR – Life-Saving Rules Job-Specific Risks Training on Hazardous Area Classification Work Permit Procedure Lockout Procedure Segregation and storage of generated waste. Strive to minimize potential impacts arising from activities. Report possible incidents/accidents with environmental implications to the Department Manager.
