Will you join our challenge? **MISSION:** As the Mechanical Lead, you will be the technical and organizational reference for the design, development, and validation of mechanical solutions within power electronics projects, working closely with the project's Product Leader and reporting to the Technical Director: * You will coordinate designs with manufacturers' capabilities, ensure the quality and feasibility of proposed solutions, and guarantee their optimal integration with electronics, thermal behavior, and industrialization teams. * You will create, using 3D design software, enclosures and other components primarily in metal that form part of Premium's power equipment. Ultimately, you will also be responsible for creating all documentation, specifications, structures, purchase orders, and drawings, in compliance with current regulations and customer requirements, while supervising and adhering to Premium's R\+D department design rules and specific customer standards. * **FUNCTIONS \& RESPONSIBILITIES** * Perform mechanical designs primarily in metal for enclosures and heat dissipation elements such as heatsinks, and all screw fastening closures. * Drafting, rendering, and editing of drawings. * Creation and management of design libraries for elements that form or will form part of Premium's standard product components. * Creation and preparation of all technical documentation for the R\+D department, including assembly drawings, technical dossiers, part of the product's mechanical structure in the corporate ERP, component creation, etc. * Request prototypes from suppliers. * Perform fluid\-thermal simulations for the project. * Finalize project technical documentation and compile lessons learned during development. * Support in creating 2D (inductive) drawings for the HW team. * Lead mechanical design of power electronic products (housings, heatsinks, structures, assemblies, etc.), ensuring mechanical and thermal performance. * Create project technical documentation following established formats and propose improvements to enhance efficiency. * Organize and manage documentation, serving as the liaison with the Operations department for supplier-required documentation and with procurement for sourcing mechanical parts in prototypes. * Collaborate closely with Electronics, Thermal, Layout, Industrialization, and Procurement teams. * Be responsible for minimizing material usage and selecting materials with lower environmental impact and better recyclability. * Coordinate the design team with internal and external mechanical designers. * Support physically adapting prototypes to designs together with Product Leaders. * Define and ensure compliance with mechanical specifications, regulations, and quality requirements. * Manage the prototyping process, mechanical validation, and support production ramp-up. * Promote continuous improvement in design processes and standardization of solutions. **Requirements:** --------------- **REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferably with specialization in electronics. * Experience using Solid Edge (preferred), Solid Works, CATIA (or similar). * Knowledge of materials and fastening systems (DIN screws, rivets, inserts, welding, etc …) * Understanding of material strength. * Experience in fluid\-thermal simulation. * Knowledge of heat transfer, vibrations, and IP ratings. * Familiarity with metal manufacturing processes (machining, extrusion, stamping, injection, etc.). * Knowledge of applicable standards (Vibrations, Railway Welding, IEC, UL, RoHS, etc.) is advantageous. * Proficiency with document editing and rendering tools. * Flexibility and adaptability to project timelines**.** **VALUABLE SKILLS** * Experience with Altium Designer. * Knowledge of plastic injection molding. * Management of external suppliers. **BENEFITS:** * Join a leading company in its sector with real opportunities for professional growth. * Remote work policy. * Flexible working hours. * Time flexibility and work-life balance. * Professional environment and excellent working conditions. * Free coffee and tea available. * Discounts on healthy meals/homemade food. * Access to Flexible Compensation. * Flexible vacation policy. * Competitive salary based on experience and value provided. * Take it Easy Room: we have a space to break routine and relieve stress.
