Join us in the search for solutions to achieve a sustainable future. Acciona, within its Water business line, is seeking a Planning Manager for its Casablanca project. Job Description The selected candidate will be the manager of the planning area for the Casablanca project, with the workplace located at the project site in Casablanca, Morocco. Responsibilities: * Create, together with the Construction Director, Cost Engineer, and client, a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with internal procedures. * Implement the Project’s Detailed Baseline Schedule, integrating engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning activities. * Ensure compliance with all client requirements regarding contractual documentation to be delivered, such as progress reports, curves, schedules, reports, etc., timely and accurately. * Create the project’s baseline progress curves according to internal procedures. * Calculate the project’s actual progress and perform monthly updates of the curves. * Perform periodic updates of the schedule. * Monitor manufacturing schedules of supplies as well as those of subcontractors, both during bidding and contractual phases, in order to alert the respective area managers and the project director about potential impacts on timelines. * Prepare status reports on the project for the Project Director, the Project Control Department, and the Production Department. * Prepare reports required by the client. * Report any project delays. * Develop acceleration plans when necessary. * Analyze the critical path. * Manage on-site resources, weekly production control, forecast estimations, results analysis, and improvement proposals. * Analyze deviations and propose improvements. * Monitor subcontractors’ progress, performance, and compliance with contractual plans. * Collaborate in activating other areas to facilitate the achievement of time objectives. * Incorporate Change Orders into the schedule and adjust baseline curves, as well as update all other documentation to be delivered to the client. * Monitor and control subcontract measurements and/or quantities using data from the Construction Department, detect any deviations, and assess their impact on timelines. * Be aware of subcontractor certifications. * Collaborate with the Project Director and Construction Director in preparing and updating staffing schedules (PMT and CMT). * Support claims and contract management within company projects (EOTs, claims, arbitrations, etc.) Planning and Reporting * Maintain the project schedule through progress tracking, activity coordination, and problem resolution. * Have thorough knowledge of project documentation related to planning aspects and corresponding outcomes. * Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely monthly reports. * Regularly inform senior management about the implementation status and its effectiveness. Risks * Actively and consistently identify project risks and opportunities, both within one’s own scope of control and across the entire project. * Lead the process of developing and implementing measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. * Communicate and escalate risks and opportunities as necessary to best protect the project’s interests. Ability to present ideas to groups and gain their commitment. Candidate Requirements Degree in Engineering (Industrial/Organization/Civil). Advanced level in Microsoft Excel. Professional proficiency in Primavera Project Planner P6. High level of English (C1). High level of French (C1), highly valued. Knowledge of the Last Planner System, highly valued. Experience in production/execution of desalination plant or drinking water treatment plant (PTAP) construction, highly valued. Between 6 and 8 years of experience in planning and/or project management within construction/engineering environments.
