Job Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Mercabarna’s facilities, collaborating with external companies and supporting other technicians. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks 2. Collaborate with external companies and support specialist technicians 3. Carry out modifications, expansions, and new specific installations We require a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) for Mercabarna. Candidates must hold an upper secondary vocational qualification in industrial facility maintenance (mechanical technician). Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and metalworking. Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and general installations is required. A valid driver’s license is mandatory. The person appointed to this position must be capable of performing the following tasks: Responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Mercabarna’s facilities. Occasionally intervene in third-party company installations and respond to urgent breakdowns when necessary. Collaborate with external companies to provide support and stay informed about new installations. Execute modifications, expansions, and new specific installations according to provided assembly project documentation. Support other specialist technicians when required. Be competent and proficient in using the tools and equipment necessary to perform the job. Conduct initial analyses, preliminary checks, and first repair interventions on various installations, applying specialized technical knowledge. Complete daily work logs with corresponding descriptions and time spent. Fill out and sign maintenance prevention and equipment inspection records as required. Ensure compliance with the company’s safety policy during daily activities and in interactions with third parties. Serve as a role model for regulatory compliance and demonstrate commitment to following company guidelines. Collaborate in preventing criminal offenses, participate in training activities, and report any detected non-compliance with compliance requirements or commission of a crime * Experience: 2 years. Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and metalworking. * Competencies / Knowledge: Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and general installations. Valid driver’s license mandatory. * Driver’s License: B * Temporary employment contract (9 months) * Full-time position * Gross monthly salary: 2400
