Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to carry out conductive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of industrial facilities, supporting other technicians and collaborating with external companies. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and metalworking. 2. Conductive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks. 3. Support for other technicians and collaboration with external companies. Mercabarna requires a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Candidates must hold a higher vocational training qualification in industrial facility maintenance (mechanical technician). Minimum two years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and metalworking is required. Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and general installations is required. A valid driver’s license is mandatory. The person appointed to this position must be capable of performing the following tasks: Responsible for conducting conductive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of Mercabarna’s facilities. Occasionally intervene in third-party facilities and respond to urgent breakdowns as required. Collaborate with external companies to provide support and stay informed about new installations. Carry out specific modifications, extensions, and new installations according to provided assembly project documentation. Support other specialist technicians as required. Be qualified and proficient in using the tools and equipment necessary to perform the job. Perform initial analyses, preliminary checks, and first repair interventions on various installations, applying specialized technical knowledge. Complete daily work logs with appropriate descriptions and time spent. Complete and sign required records related to preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Ensure compliance with the company’s safety policy during daily activities and with regard to impact on third parties. Serve as a role model for regulatory compliance and demonstrate commitment to following company guidelines. Contribute to crime prevention efforts, participate in training activities, and report any non-compliance with compliance requirements or commission of criminal acts. * Experience: 2 years. Minimum two years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and metalworking. * Competencies / Knowledge: Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and general installations. Valid driver’s license mandatory. * Driver’s License Category: B * Temporary employment contract (9 months) * Full-time working hours * Gross monthly salary: 2400
