International environment with opportunities for professional development Drive Train Expert / Vibration Technician – Mechanical Field Team (A Coruña) **Region MED > SBU Med Service > Mechanical Operations** Are you a mechanical specialist for large components with a focus on vibrations? Are you interested in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on wind turbines? At Vestas, we are looking for a Drive Train Expert / Vibration Technician to join our Mechanical Field Team, contributing to the performance and reliability of our wind farms. About the team The Mechanical Field Team is responsible for providing daily support to the Service business through: * Borescope inspections * Analysis of portable CMS (Condition Monitoring System) data * Vibration diagnostics (spectra, plots, alarms) * Up-tower and down-tower repairs on critical components * Global CMS alarm support Your mission You will be responsible for mechanical diagnostics and vibration analysis of the powertrain, ensuring early fault detection and proper execution of repairs. Responsibilities * Conduct borescope inspections on: + Gearboxes + Generators + Main and blade bearings * Analyze monitoring systems: + Interpretation of vibration spectra + Analysis of portable CMS data + Tracking alarms and resolving incidents * Execute critical mechanical repairs: + Up-tower and down-tower + Gearboxes and generators * Prepare technical documentation: + CMS reports + Reports following inspections and interventions * Provide technical support: + Installation, maintenance, and diagnostics of CMS + Data-driven technical recommendations Required Profile Education * Vocational training (FP) at intermediate level in electricity * Knowledge of industrial mechanics and electrical systems * Ability to interpret electrical schematics Experience * Minimum 2 years in wind turbine maintenance * Experience in: + Vibration analysis + CMS systems + Gearbox and generator repairs Technical knowledge * Advanced mechanical diagnostics * Review and analysis of vibration spectra * Borescope usage * Electrical knowledge (more extensive than IT knowledge) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook Desirable: * Vibration certification (CAT 1) * Experience with Vestas technology Languages * Sufficient technical English for understanding and preparing reports, and for communication in an international environment Competencies * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Work organization and prioritization * Ability to work in dynamic environments * Strong communication skills Mobility * Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time (typical trips lasting 3–4 days with return home) Location * A Coruña What we offer * Autonomy in work management and task planning * Continuous training at a leading company in the wind energy sector * International environment with opportunities for professional development Diversity and inclusion At Vestas, we believe diversity makes us stronger.
