We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer (UAV \& Defense) to lead the development of advanced perception, navigation, and autonomy capabilities for next-generation unmanned aerial platforms within strategic defense programs.

What will be your mission?
Drive the development of advanced visual perception and navigation technologies enabling our UAVs to operate with increasing autonomy, safety, and intelligence in complex environments.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
✅ Design and develop advanced Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Intelligent Perception algorithms for UAV platforms.
✅ Develop target detection, classification, tracking, visual navigation, and SLAM solutions using EO, IR, and multispectral image processing.
✅ Define perception architectures and embedded processing systems for next-generation autonomous platforms.
✅ Actively participate in Systems Engineering activities, contributing to requirements analysis, decomposition and management, architecture definition, and technical trade-off evaluation.
✅ Integrate artificial vision algorithms into real hardware environments, ensuring performance on embedded systems.
✅ Collaborate in validation and verification activities, participating in simulations, laboratory tests, and flight campaigns.
✅ Work alongside software, avionics, navigation, artificial intelligence, and systems teams to ensure full solution integration.
✅ Produce technical documentation and participate in design and architecture reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), contributing to the technological maturity of developments.
✅ Provide technical leadership for artificial vision initiatives, offering technological judgment and guiding architectural and development decisions.
️ What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
More than 5 years of experience developing Computer Vision algorithms for airborne navigation systems or autonomous platforms.
**Solid experience in:**
Python and C\+\+
OpenCV
PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
Development and integration of embedded AI algorithms
**Knowledge in:**
Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems
Visual navigation and SLAM
Sensor fusion
ROS / ROS2
NVIDIA Jetson platforms
Ability to assume technical leadership and interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and program managers.
We especially value
Experience with autonomous systems for UAV/UAS.
Development of real-time deployed AI solutions.
Familiarity with mission architectures and defense systems.
Participation in integration campaigns and flight testing.
Experience with Systems Engineering methodologies.

What does our selection process look like?
