24/07/2026 100% remote work, Spain Up to 40\.000€ We are seeking a Senior Spark Backend Developer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data processing solutions within the customer contribution platform. You will play a key role in building scalable, high-performance Big Data workflows, collaborating across multiple teams. A high level of English proficiency is required. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Lead technical decisions and contribute to architectural design Develop, maintain, and optimize Big Data pipelines Support data integration initiatives across different systems Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of solutions Identify and resolve complex technical issues Collaborate with functional and technical teams across multiple workstreams Mentor and support other team members, fostering knowledge sharing **REQUIREMENTS:** Minimum 5 years of experience with Apache Spark (Scala or Python) Extensive experience with Apache Spark (mandatory) Proficiency in Scala or Python Solid SQL knowledge and data modeling skills Experience with Azure Databricks and Hive Experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments (Git, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus) Agile mindset and experience working in agile environments Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude English level B2\+ (minimum) and Spanish (at least C1\+) **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Experience with orchestration tools (Control\-M, Airflow or similar) Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem Interest or experience in AI technologies applied to data engineering, analytics, or automation Experience with AI-assisted development tools or contribution to AI-powered data platforms **LOCATION:** 100% remote work — from anywhere in Spain. **SALARY:** Competitive, up to 40\.000 EUR gross per year, depending on experience.
