Description

**Quality and Food Safety Technician** *Location: Jerez de la Frontera* Smileat is a Spanish company founded in 2015, when two entrepreneurs decided to revolutionize infant nutrition with 100% organic, healthy, and sustainable alternatives. Today, we are the second-largest brand by market share in the infant nutrition sector, the top-selling Spanish brand in its category, and one of the fastest-growing brands online. We have reached this position thanks to an entrepreneurial, young, nonconformist, and passionate team dedicated to nutrition and sustainability. We are currently expanding our strategy internationally, entering new markets such as Portugal, Romania, Poland, Moldova, Greece, Cyprus, and Costa Rica. If food safety matters to you as much as families trusting Smileat matter to us, keep reading. **Your mission:** You will ensure that every product leaving Smileat meets the quality and food safety standards expected by our families — from plant-level procedures to the technical responses we provide to our customers. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Supervise the implementation of new procedures and records. * Support the establishment of a quality-oriented culture. * Manage process and product deviations. * Monitor and complete HACCP prerequisite requirements. * Verify good hygiene practices among operators. * Execute and monitor the sampling plan (finished products, handlers, surfaces, environments). * Conduct controls at each stage of the process and product lifecycle. * Provide customer support regarding technical specifications and technical inquiries. * Create technical specifications. **What are we looking for?** * Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or related fields (a Master’s degree in Food Safety is considered a plus). * Minimum 2 years of experience in quality and food safety within the food industry. * Knowledge of food safety standards (IFS and/or BRC). * Availability to work the 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift. * Intermediate/advanced level of English. * Proactive individual with critical and analytical thinking skills. * Organized, responsible, autonomous, and possessing strong communication and negotiation skills. Experience in quality within the infant nutrition sector will be highly valued. **What do we expect from you?** A proactive and analytical person who takes ownership without needing to be reminded. Organized and responsible, with the communication and negotiation skills required to collaborate closely both with production teams and our customers — always keeping quality and food safety at the heart of every decision. **What do we offer you?** * Permanent full-time contract. * A dynamic and growing work environment within a leading company in organic infant nutrition. * Continuous training for employees. * Real opportunities for professional development in a company with a sustainable vision and genuine commitment to innovation. **Why Smileat?** We seek people who want more than just a job — curious, collaborative individuals eager to face new challenges; people who wish to be part of something that reaches real families every day. If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear your story.
