Do you have experience administering **Linux systems**, working with **VMware**, and automating tasks with **Ansible**?
We are looking to hire a **Linux Systems Technician** to join a **long-term project linked to a public agency**, as part of an established infrastructure team with a strong focus on **system automation and administration**.
**Location:** Madrid – Doce de Octubre area
**Hybrid work mode:** alternating weeks of remote work
**Permanent contract**
### **What will you do?**
* Administration of **Linux systems**: installation, configuration, patching, maintenance, and hardening.
* Administration of **VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)**.
* Provisioning of virtual machines, management of snapshots and resources.
* Automation of tasks and deployments using **Ansible**.
* Creation and maintenance of **playbooks, roles, and inventories**.
* Automation and operations via **Bash scripting**.
* Infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis.
* Resolution of **Level 2 incidents**.
* Development and maintenance of technical documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
### **What are we looking for?**
* Approximately **3 years of experience** administering Linux systems.
* Experience with distributions such as **RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu**, or similar.
* Experience administering **VMware in production environments**.
* Practical experience with **Ansible**, including creating or maintaining playbooks.
* Knowledge of **Bash scripting**.
* Ability to work collaboratively, autonomously, and with strong organizational skills.
### **Nice-to-have experience includes:**
* Certifications such as **RHCSA / RHCE** or **VMware VCP**.
* **Python** applied to automation.
* Monitoring tools such as **Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, or Centreon**.
* **Git** for version control of playbooks and scripts.
* Projects related to **Public Administration**.
