We are seeking an AI Perception Engineer to design, develop, and integrate advanced object detection, classification, and tracking algorithms, enhancing the perception capabilities of UAS platforms and next-generation autonomous systems. You will participate in high-impact projects where computer vision, deep learning, and embedded AI are critical to identifying, tracking, and analyzing targets in complex, dynamic, and demanding environments. What will you do on a daily basis? ️ Design advanced object detection systems Develop Object Detection solutions to identify and classify targets in images and video in real time. Improve detection capability in complex scenarios involving lighting variations, adverse weather conditions, and highly dynamic environments. Evaluate and optimize performance using advanced metrics such as precision, recall, and mAP. Develop intelligent tracking algorithms Implement Multi\-Object Tracking (MOT) solutions for simultaneous tracking of multiple targets. Design robust algorithms resilient to occlusions, noise, and changes in object behavior. Estimate trajectories, velocity, and behavior of targets to support advanced perception and decision-making capabilities. Create complete perception architectures Design and integrate end\-to\-end perception pipelines based on optical and optronic sensors. Transform data from cameras and EO/IR payloads into actionable information for navigation, control, and decision-making systems. Integrate perception capabilities with autonomous mission and control architectures. Train and optimize Artificial Intelligence models Prepare and manage datasets for training and validation. Apply data augmentation techniques and data quality improvement methods. Train, validate, and optimize deep learning-based models. Tune hyperparameters to maximize accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency. ️ Deploy AI into the real world Deploy computer vision models onto edge AI platforms constrained by power and real-time requirements. Optimize inference and resource consumption for operational environments. Implement GPU-accelerated solutions to maximize embedded performance. Validate performance in real-world scenarios Participate in simulations, laboratory tests, and field validation campaigns. Analyze algorithm robustness under real operational conditions. Contribute to continuous improvement of autonomous perception systems. ✅ What are we looking for? **Solid experience or knowledge in:** Computer Vision. Deep Learning applied to computer vision. Image and video processing. Perception systems for autonomous environments. Integration of optical and optronic sensors. **Experience with detection algorithms:** YOLO. SSD. Faster R\-CNN. Training, validation, and deployment of detection models. **Experience with tracking algorithms:** SORT. DeepSORT. ByteTrack. Data association techniques and multi-object tracking. ️ Programming and tools Python (mandatory). C\+\+ (highly valued for production environments). OpenCV. PyTorch and/or TensorFlow. Optimization and embedded AI CUDA and GPU computing. TensorRT and ONNX. NVIDIA Jetson (Orin, Xavier or similar). Optimization for real-time systems and edge computing. Highly desirable Knowledge of optics and optronic systems. Experience with electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensors. Integration of perception systems into UAS, robotics, or autonomous platforms.
