Job Summary: Assist in the daily operations of a vibrant open-kitchen restaurant, serving food and beverages, and supporting the bar and dining team while learning about Mediterranean gastronomy. Its name references the architectural form of an arch, paying homage to the famous Porxos de Fontseré. Additionally, the Catalan word "voltar" means to go or stroll—a concept that also inspires our cuisine. The menu, an epicurean journey along the Mediterranean coast, is a creative celebration of vibrant and diverse flavors. Dishes—simple yet delicious—are fire-cooked using local ingredients and crafted for sharing. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of Volta Bar \& Restaurant. * Support the dining team by serving food and beverages, and ensuring tables are clean and properly set. * Collaborate with the bar team: restock supplies, polish glassware, and assist in basic bar preparation and service. * Receive barista training and learn the fundamentals of specialty coffee preparation. * Discover the world of mixology and learn about cocktails directly from our expert bartenders. * Acquire knowledge of inventory management, mise en place, and operational workflows. * Understand the importance of hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction in a restaurant environment. * Learn how to respond to guest requests and deliver a welcoming, professional experience. * Observe and participate in special events and hotel-wide service moments. * Attend team briefings and training sessions to expand your knowledge and confidence. * Restock bar supplies. * Wash glasses and utensils. * Handle heavy loads when necessary. * Assist in general bar cleaning. * Support bartenders. * Perform basic maintenance tasks. * Collaborate on special events. * Report any issues, requests, conflicts, or incidents to Supervisors and Managers. **Requirements** * Proficiency in Spanish and/or English. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
