Description
**SAN LÁZARO VETERINARY CLINIC — SEVILLE**
General practice veterinarian
*We are seeking to hire a veterinarian with substantial clinical experience to take full responsibility for a complete general practice shift. This is not an entry-level position: we seek someone who already practices independently, manages daily clinical work without supervision, and — if surgically trained — can occasionally assist in surgery when the schedule permits.*
**About the clinic**
San Lázaro Veterinary Clinic is a growing small-animal medicine and surgery center located in Seville, at Turdetania 2\. We offer general practice consultations, emergency care, and scheduled surgeries, and we are expanding our clinical team to meet current demand, which already exceeds our capacity.
**About the position**
Within 12 months, the selected candidate will have established their own dedicated consultation schedule — including routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnosis, and follow-up of chronic cases — earning the trust of clients and colleagues alike, and will have integrated as the secondary surgical support for procedures scheduled by the clinic.
**Your responsibilities**
* Conduct general practice consultations: routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of chronic cases.
* Independently manage your own patient schedule based on autonomous clinical judgment.
* Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans directly to animal owners.
* Assist in scheduled surgeries when your training permits and the schedule requires it (e.g., sterilizations, soft-tissue procedures).
* Coordinate with the rest of the team on post-operative and emergency follow-up care.
* Help reduce external referrals by applying your clinical judgment to complex cases.
**What we’re looking for**
**Mandatory requirements:**
Proven experience in small-animal general practice with diagnostic and therapeutic autonomy (junior candidates without independent clinical experience will not be considered).
Ability to communicate clearly and directly with animal owners.
Valid veterinary registration.
Availability to adapt to the clinic’s shift schedule.
**Strongly preferred:**
Experience or training in small-animal surgery (e.g., sterilizations, soft-tissue procedures): such candidates may join the surgical team and broaden their role within the clinic.
Basic emergency management skills.
Interest in developing toward a more surgical profile over the medium term.
**How to apply**
* Send your CV, and explicitly mention any surgical training or experience, via WhatsApp or the clinic’s email. No lengthy processes: first call within 48 hours.
