During your internship, you will have the opportunity to develop analytical solutions to derive insights from data and support strategic decisions, and to contribute to the team’s day-to-day activities with value-adding tasks. **What will you do during your internship?** * Transform and clean data to provide technical advice and insights on actuarial models and risk-related matters. * Develop analytical dashboards to support business performance monitoring. * Introduction to developing and improving predictive modeling tools aligned with market best practices, such as: + Pricing modeling. + Reverse engineering based on market information. + Elasticity models for renewals and discount models. + Machine Learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised methods. + Model and current tool testing and maintenance. * Learn from a business perspective: engage across the entire policy lifecycle (product, underwriting, renewal, claims, cancellation, fraud, etc.). * Support research into new approaches, such as web scraping, text analysis, image processing, etc. **Who are we looking for?** * University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Big Data, or Physics. * Interest in professional development and continuous learning within a corporate environment. * Motivation to work collaboratively and contribute to the team’s daily operations. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. * Analytical capability and ability to develop novel approaches. * Ability to synthesize and interpret results. * Capacity for learning, communication, and teamwork. * Proactivity, commitment, autonomy, and orientation toward continuous improvement. **What will help you stand out?** * Proficiency in statistical and programming tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, or other statistical programming languages. * Languages: English B2 level. * Valuable experience in data transformation, cleaning, and quality assurance. * Additionally, the following will be highly valued: + Experience in insurance, banking, pharmaceuticals, mass retail, online markets, or related sectors. + Experience in actuarial environments (Emblem, Radar, GLM). + Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView). + Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google). * Prior internship, volunteer, or academic project experience (not mandatory). **Essential Information** * A collaboration agreement with your university is mandatory, for a **minimum duration of 6 months** (with possibility of extension). * Part-time schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with some flexibility in working hours. * Before applying, please ensure you have: + Confirmation that you can formalize an internship agreement. + The intended agreement duration and possibility of extension. + Start date. + Modality: curricular or extracurricular. + Contact person at your institution for administrative coordination. **Benefits and Perks** * A monthly stipend of €800 (net) throughout the internship period. * On-site work model with the option to transition to a hybrid format after the initial adaptation period, subject to agreement with your mentor. * Modern offices designed for employee wellbeing, plus free parking for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters. * Participation in sustainability initiatives, volunteering programs, and corporate culture activities. * An inclusive, diverse environment committed to people’s wellbeing. * Close mentoring, continuous learning, and access to training resources. **About Us** Sabadell Zurich is the alliance between Banco Sabadell and Zurich Insurance Group.
