We apply industry-leading methodologies and technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), enabling more efficient ways of working and design throughout all phases of a project’s lifecycle. We are seeking a Senior Engineer with strong experience in designing telecommunications and electronic security systems to join our team in Spain. This role is aimed at professionals passionate about developing detailed technical designs for building installations and eager to grow by participating in medium- to high-complexity, multidisciplinary projects within an international environment. Our projects span sectors including industrial, healthcare, education, leisure, aviation, commercial, and defense. Key Responsibilities * Design integrated electronic security systems: CCTV/video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and associated infrastructure. * Prepare detailed technical documentation: calculations, schematics, diagrams, technical reports, and specifications. * Define camera and device locations, considering field of view, coverage, and minimization of blind spots. * Coordinate design with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure functional system integration. * Participate in technical coordination meetings and collaborate in defining spatial requirements for telecommunications systems. * Propose technical solutions for new challenges and identify potential discrepancies in outcomes. * Contribute to the development of technical proposals for tenders and new projects. **Requirements** * University degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum 5 years’ experience designing electronic security systems for buildings and facilities. * High level of English and Spanish, both spoken and written. * Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for electronic security. * Experience evaluating and selecting technology vendors. * Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and Revit. * Experience in wired and wireless telecommunications infrastructure, voice alarm evacuation systems, and building management and monitoring systems will be valued. * Prior experience on international projects will be especially valued. * Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services across the full project lifecycle—from advisory, planning, design, and engineering to program and construction management.
