Job Summary: We are seeking a person passionate about doing work well, paying attention to detail, and ensuring precision—to build the heart of SOEC electrolyzers and drive industrial decarbonization. Key Highlights: 1. Build the core component of SOEC electrolyzers. 2. Support the team in building, preparing, and maintaining stacks. 3. Contribute to industrial decarbonization with SOEC technology. *Build the heart of SOEC electrolyzers with your own hands—electrolyzers that will help decarbonize industry. If you are passionate about doing work well, paying attention to detail, and ensuring precision, we want you at Kerionics.* ### **About Us** At Kerionics, we work to drive real change in the world: accelerating decarbonization through technologies that enable cleaner, more sustainable energy. As a spin\-off of ITQ (UPV\-CSIC), we originate from scientific knowledge, but our goal is clear: transforming research into real industrial solutions. Our SOEC technology brings us closer to that goal. Its high energy efficiency enables hydrogen production where it is most needed: in industries still heavily dependent on fossil fuels. We aim to demonstrate that an ambitious energy transition is not only possible—it is already underway… and you can be part of it. ### **Who We Are** We are a multicultural team of over 30 people, united by a shared purpose: building a more sustainable future. Scientists, engineers, and business professionals—passionate about transforming scientific knowledge into real technology that addresses the challenges faced by industries most in need of decarbonization: steel, petrochemicals, cement, ceramics and glass, or paper. ### **How We Work** You will work **on-site** at our facilities in the **Paterna Technology Park** (Valencia), right at the heart of our stack department workshop—close to the product, the prototype, and the people who design it. We operate with a high degree of **ownership** and autonomy. What you assemble today will be tested tomorrow—and will become part of the technology transforming how industry decarbonizes. We work weekends, with two weekdays off. We typically start early (around **7:30 AM**), allowing us to enjoy free afternoons for sports, family, or whatever you prefer. ### **Your Day\-to\-Day Responsibilities** You will join the Stack team. Your mission will be to support the team in building, preparing, and maintaining stacks (the core component of the electrolyzer), ensuring the quality standards that make our technology possible. ### **Stack Assembly and Integration (~50%)** * Assemble and disassemble **stacks**, following team procedures carefully and precisely. * Verify that **stack components meet required dimensions and tolerances** prior to assembly. * Handle stacks with the necessary **dexterity** to avoid damage throughout the process. ### **Component Preparation and Supporting Processes (~40%)** * Perform **sandblasting** on stack components, ensuring uniform, high\-quality surface finish. * Prepare and print **seals** using the robocaster, adhering strictly to defined recipes and protocols. * Participate in **stack post\-mortems** to identify failures, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. ### **Maintenance, Inventory, and Workshop Organization (~10%)** * Keep the **inventory** of stack components and consumables up to date. * Perform **basic maintenance** of workshop equipment and tools to ensure they are always ready for use. * Maintain **order and cleanliness** in the workspace, contributing to a safe and efficient environment. ### **What We Require** * Availability to work weekends. * You live in **Valencia** and are able to commute daily to Paterna Technology Park. * Valid work permit in Spain. * Ability to **assemble and mount components precisely**, following procedures and quality standards. * Capacity to **maintain focus and quality** during repetitive tasks: assembling hundreds of cells while applying the same level of care to the first and the last. * An **active and critical mindset**: we do not seek someone who merely follows instructions, but rather someone who notices when something does not fit—and speaks up. ### **We Are Looking For Someone Who Has…** * **Attention to detail** and a strong orientation toward quality. * **Manual dexterity** and care when handling components. * **Resilience to routine**: you enjoy—or at least feel comfortable with—repetitive tasks done well. * A **continuous improvement mindset**: you can identify issues in the process and propose adjustments. * Strong **teamwork** and clear communication with your manager and colleagues. * Commitment to **safety** and proper care of equipment. ### **Not Required—but You’ll Impress Us If You Also…** * Have prior experience in **assembling metallic or mechanical components** (industry, automotive, workshops, etc.). ### **What We Offer** * Gross annual salary of **22\.000€**. * **Permanent contract**. * 22 working days of vacation, plus the Christmas period. * **Cross\-learning** sessions across different teams: learn from your colleagues’ knowledge and experience—and in a few months, share what you’ve learned. * Annual **training budget**, tailored to your needs and growth opportunities within the company. * The opportunity to **grow** in a rapidly scaling project where your contribution has real impact. * Enrich yourself through the **diversity** of cultures in our team: you’ll work alongside people from India, the UK, Poland, France, Pakistan, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia… * Every Friday, from 11:00 to 12:00, we break routine and share a traditional Valencian **esmorzaret**. A moment to unwind, laugh, and get to know each other outside of work. * Join a purpose\-driven startup where learning, innovation, and sustainability go hand in hand. * Directly contribute to **industrial decarbonization** through SOEC technology. * Work in an environment where mistakes are part of learning—and initiative is valued. ### **What the Selection Process Looks Like** 1\. Video call with our People \& Culture team to expand on your application and address any questions. 2\. A conversation with your future manager, **Nicolás Hernández**, to discuss the operational and technical aspects of the role. And if everything aligns, you’ll receive an offer. We aim to deliver it within less than 3–4 weeks from initial contact. *At Kerionics, we firmly believe in* ***equal opportunity****. All candidates will be considered regardless of gender, age, origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or any other personal characteristic.* *If you have a disability and require any accommodation or adjustment during the selection process, please write confidentially to* ***people@kerionics.com****.* ### **And Finally, But No Less Important—Our Culture…** * **We make everything possible.** It’s the spirit that drives our resilience, fuels our innovation, and pushes us to keep overcoming challenges. * **We speak up.** Radical honesty is how we make ideas stronger and build trust. * **We get curious.** Whether it’s cracking a membrane problem or rethinking how we run a morning meeting, we explore, test and iterate. * **We’ve got each other’s backs.** We share knowledge, celebrate wins big and small, and help when someone’s stuck. * **We value every background.** Diversity isn’t just talk, it’s how we innovate better. * **We own it.** We’re proactive; we don’t wait around. This is our project, and every one of us pushes it forward. * **We learn from our mistakes.** We’re not afraid to try, fail, and try again. That’s how we turn bold ideas into real breakthroughs. * **We care.** About safety, about impact, about the people next to us in the blue polo. Because the future we’re building matters.
