Job Summary: Responsible for VWR’s integrated services for a client in Toledo, managing warehouse, procurement, reagents, shipping, waste, and laboratory tasks. Key Highlights: 1. Focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail **The Opportunity:** -------------------- As an On-Site Services professional, you will be responsible for the various integrated services within the scope of services provided by VWR, part of Avantor, to our client at their Toledo facility. The primary purpose of this position is to assume full responsibility for tasks included in VWR’s scope: goods receipt, warehouse management, procurement management, reagent management, solvent filling, shipping management, waste management, environmental reporting, SOPs, fulfilling customer demand, laboratory tasks, and any tasks delegated by the supervisor. This position is primarily based at client sites, working Monday through Friday during standard business hours. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Deliver an exceptional user experience within the assigned area, ensuring seamless service delivery and serving as the single point of contact for assigned tasks. * Ensure full coverage of all customer needs. * Warehouse management * Reagent management * Shipping management * Inventory management * Laboratory tasks * Procurement management * Goods receipt * Waste management * Environmental support * Safety risk prevention **Other Tasks:** * Office supplies support * Laboratory supplies management * Environmental support * Ensuring commitment to high safety standards * Ensuring a high level of quality **Education, Experience and Certifications** * Vocational training or basic degree—or equivalent experience (2 years in the chemical sector)—in Chemistry, Laboratory Technician, Pharmacy, or related field. * Experience: * Minimum 1 year of experience in the chemical sector. * Technical skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). * Experience or training in database systems (e.g., SAP). * Language skills: English level B1 (Intermediate). * Safety concerns **WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Under typical job conditions)** * Slippery surfaces: Stairs or floors with spilled liquids, grease, or solids. * Unauthorized areas: Walking in zones not designated for pedestrian traffic. * Poor organization: Lack of order and cleanliness in the work area and its surroundings. * Inappropriate footwear: Not wearing slip-resistant shoes, damaged footwear, or improper use (e.g., unfastened). * Obstacles: Presence of cables and hoses in walkways. * Exposure to chemical agents. * Unsafe movement: Walking rapidly or running. * Tools on the floor: Tools left on the floor after use. * Floor hazards: Deformations or irregularities in factory or outdoor flooring. * Access to cold storage: Risks associated with entering refrigerated chambers. * Loose objects: Electrical cables, planks, nails, etc., on the floor. * Broken glass: Shattered glass containers. * Display screen equipment (DSE)-related risks * Continuous work with computer screens during the workday. * Screen reflections or glare. * Direct light sources (natural or artificial) causing discomfort. * Neck and cervical movement when reading documents on desks or stands. * Forced neck and back postures when using screens. * Poor sitting posture and inadequate chair condition. * Limited desktop space for keyboard and documents. * Equipment with defective insulation. * Damaged power cables or objects falling onto cables. * Unsafe use of electrical power for work equipment. * Reckless actions: using domestic heaters, smoking, lighting fires, placing clothing on radiators, leaving electrical devices unnecessarily powered on. **Note:** Members of alarm and evacuation teams, first responders, and first aid personnel must consult the Emergency Plan document published on the intranet, which details their activities and responsibilities. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES (Those required to ensure product and service compliance)** * Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate effectively * Excellent problem-solving capabilities * Exceptional planning and organizational skills * A strong team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organization and team members. * Analytical and networking skills * Self-motivated, autonomous, and reliable, with keen attention to detail * Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to challenge the status quo \#LI\-Onsite **Disclaimer:** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
