Opportunity to broaden technical expertise **Job Description** **Job Description** We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable **Customer Support Engineer** to join our multi\-disciplinary engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support customers across a broad range of rotating equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, control systems, and associated auxiliary equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical support excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, resolving complex technical issues and supporting operational reliability for our customers across the EMEA region. As part of a collaborative engineering environment, you will be expected to develop flexibility and broaden your technical expertise across gas turbine, steam turbine and generator operational aspects in addition to your primary responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities** Technical Support \& Engineering * Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, control systems and auxiliary equipment. * Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution using sound engineering principles, standards and analytical problem\-solving skills. * Lead and manage root cause analysis investigations for technical issues and drive corrective actions. * Escalate technical issues where required and act as a liaison between field operations and design engineering teams. * Support unplanned and forced outages to help meet customer availability goals. * Prepare and deliver technical reports, procedures, presentations and engineering documentation. * Participate in the identification and resolution of Technical Non\-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and Requests for Action (RFAs). * Document technical data generated through assigned projects in accordance with engineering policies and procedures. * Support commercial teams with technical input for sales and service proposal activities. * Act as an interface between commercial, service, and repair teams. Operational Excellence \& Continuous Improvement * Support continuous improvement initiatives for departmental procedures, workflows and technical capabilities. * Contribute to the collection, consolidation and analysis of departmental lessons learned and operational experience. * Develop proactive working procedures to improve future work efficiency. * Write and revise Quality Management procedures when required. Customer \& Site Support * Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure technical issues are understood and resolved in a timely manner. * Travel to customer locations to support technical review meetings and site activities. * Act as the company engineering representative during planned gas and steam turbine inspections, when required. * Provide customer\-focused support with the ability to respond quickly to urgent customer needs. Skills \& Experience Required * Experience supporting rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, generators or industrial power systems. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to work autonomously and lead technical solution development under pressure and tight deadlines. * Willingness to work off\-hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolution when required. * Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical is preferred with exposure in any areas of Gas Turbine design, operation, repair, service, installation or commissioning. * Experience in developing and writing specifications and/or proposals. * Effective customer service skills and strong organizational skills. * Proficient technical report writing and communication skills. * Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team having people with different cultures and nationalities. * Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, simulation software. * Fluency in business English, knowledge of Japanese would be an advantage, but not essential. **Additional Information** At Mitsubishi Power, diversity, equity and inclusion are central to our values.
