Are you passionate about industrial chemistry and eager to contribute to projects that bring new products from development to industrial manufacturing?
We are seeking a **CHEMICAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST** to play a key role in the **planning, management and execution of laboratory experiments and analytical methodologies**, supporting process internalization and optimization projects.
**What will be your mission?** You will be responsible for scheduling, managing and conducting the laboratory experiments and analytical methodologies required in internalization projects and industrial process support for Chemical Plants, acting as the technical lead for such activities and coordinating them with other tasks across various Chemical Industrial Development projects, ensuring compliance with associated requirements regarding timelines, costs, quality, safety and environmental sustainability, in alignment with the Industrial Area’s strategic guidelines.
**Key functions and responsibilities:**
* Design and evaluate synthesis routes for active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, starting materials or excipients suitable for internalization, through corresponding scientific\-technical feasibility studies (including Intellectual Property and regulatory aspects).
* Design, schedule, manage, execute and document experimental laboratory work arising from internalization or industrial process improvement projects for APIs, in accordance with relevant Good Practice procedures and based on scientific\-technical and regulatory feasibility criteria.
* Provide technical support, supervision and management of scale-up activities conducted in kilolab and pilot plant environments (in collaboration with Production), contributing to the drafting of technology transfer documents.
* Coordinate with other projects within the Industrial Development department to optimize available material and human resources to achieve project milestones and objectives.
* Take responsibility for available technical process information by preparing corresponding process development, analytical, scale-up and overall project reports.
* Be trained as a user in laboratory, kilo\-lab and pilot plant environments.
* Take responsibility for maintaining appropriate performance of equipment and services in laboratory and kilo\-lab facilities.
* Comply with and supervise compliance with safety and environmental regulations by collaborators within your area of responsibility, and identify situations or actions that may pose risks to processes under your responsibility, adopting or proposing, as appropriate, corresponding improvement actions.
**Education and specific knowledge**
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related health sciences disciplines
* Intermediate\-advanced level of English
* Knowledge of GMPs
