Job Summary: Zazume is looking for an Analytics Engineer to build data infrastructure, transform data into business decisions, and ensure data reliability and accessibility to drive growth. Key Highlights: 1. Key role at the intersection of data and engineering 2. Real business impact and actionable data 3. Culture of trust, autonomy, and continuous learning At **Zazume**, we are transforming how people rent their homes. Our mission is to help landlords and tenants manage rentals in a **secure, transparent, and efficient** way through our technology platform. Zazume offers tools covering everything from **tenant search and pre-qualification** to **end-to-end rental management and guaranteed rent collection**, all within a fully digital environment. Unlike traditional real estate agencies, we combine technology, data, and personalized support so our users have **full control and visibility at every step of the rental process**. Thanks to our innovative approach, we ensure peace of mind for both landlords and tenants, reducing friction, late payments, and administrative tasks. We are in a growth phase and want to continue building an ambitious team eager to learn and generate real business impact. **We are looking for an Analytics Engineer**, a profile that lives at the intersection of data and engineering: capable of building the infrastructure that enables analytics while simultaneously turning that data into actionable business decisions. This role is critical for ensuring Zazume has reliable, accessible, and useful data. You will work with complex sources (real estate market, pricing, risk, user behavior, etc.), building robust pipelines, well-designed data models, and analyses that answer the questions that truly matter. We are not looking for someone who just "builds dashboards" or merely "moves data from A to B." We seek someone who understands the business, builds the right plumbing, and asks the right questions. **What will you do daily?** ------------------------------- **Data Engineering** * Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating heterogeneous sources (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, external APIs, etc.). * Model and structure the data warehouse to be scalable, consistent, and easy to consume. * Ensure data quality, traceability, and monitoring in production. * Document data models, transformation logic, and pipeline dependencies. * Collaborate with product and engineering teams to correctly instrument events and ensure high-quality data capture from the source. **Analytics and Business Impact** * Translate business questions into concrete, actionable analyses. * Create and maintain dashboards and key metrics in Metabase (or equivalent). * Define, implement, and track KPIs across all areas: acquisition, activation, retention, pricing, risk. * Conduct ad hoc analyses on funnels, cohorts, unit economics, and user behavior. Communicate results clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders. **What do we need from you?** **Required** * Advanced proficiency in **SQL** (modeling, query optimization, complex transformations). Experience building and maintaining **ETL/ELT pipelines** in production environments. * Strong working knowledge of **Python** for data transformation, automation scripts, and analysis. * Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). * Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar). * Ability to structure ambiguous problems and prioritize effectively. * Business orientation: you don’t just execute—you propose. * Genuine ownership: you care that things work well in production, not just that they “get shipped.” **Highly Valued** * Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, dbt, etc.). * Knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and columnar storage (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.). * Experience in startups or high-growth environments where you’ve built data infrastructure from scratch—or nearly from scratch. * Applied statistics and/or basic machine learning knowledge. **What does Zazume offer?** * Permanent employment contract and flexible remote work (**1–2 days per week onsite**) * Flexible hours and a culture rooted in trust and autonomy * Opportunity to **collaborate across all business areas:** Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, etc. * High-learning environment with real datasets, diverse challenges, and significant ownership. * Offices in central Barcelona: excellent access by train and metro * Flexible compensation (**meal vouchers + private health insurance**) * €150 per quarter to invest in the training of your choice * 23 vacation days + your birthday off **What will the selection process look like?** * Video interview with HR Manager * In-person interview with CTO + Head of Finance * Business Case / Technical test **Will you join the team?
