This versatility enables our trains to cross the Saudi Arabian desert at 300 km/h or traverse countries with extreme temperatures as low as \-45ºC in Kazakhstan. **What will your job entail?** You will join the mechanical manufacturing team at our factory in Las Rozas (Las Matas). **Your mission** will be to carry out mechanical assemblies on trains and their finishing components, in accordance with Talgo’s standards and procedures, ensuring optimal quality, delivery schedule, cost, and safety. To achieve this, you will perform tasks such as: * Bringing trains to life—from technical drawings to the railway track. * Interpreting technical drawings and position-specific documentation, including work orders, procedures, and self-inspection checklists. * Performing mechanical assemblies on workbenches, both manually and using specialized tools. * Using hand tools and specialized machinery such as pneumatic riveters, drills, threaders, templates, electric saws, radial saws, among others. **What we are looking for in you:** * Vocational training qualification (Intermediate or Advanced Level) in Mechanics, Machining, Vehicle Maintenance, or a related field; professional training in areas such as Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Furniture Assembly, Installations, or Maintenance is also valued. * Minimum 1 year of experience performing mechanical tasks in industrial environments. * Knowledge of reading technical drawings and sketches. * Proficiency in using hand and electric tools, such as drills, saws, screwdrivers, laser levels, etc. * Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing—valuable for assembling kitchens, bathrooms, or technical furniture—is desirable. * Familiarity with materials (wood, metals, plastics, claddings) and finishing techniques is desirable. * Availability to work rotating shifts and weekends if required. **At Talgo, we offer you:** * Temporary contract directly with Talgo: 6 months \+ possibility of an additional 6 months, with potential conversion to an indefinite-term contract based on business needs and performance. * Compensation package comprising fixed salary, variable pay, and pension plan. * Talgo prioritizes health and therefore offers you private medical insurance. * Because well-being drives success at Talgo: 28 working days of vacation according to our 2025 company calendar\. * Morning, afternoon, and night shifts, scheduled on a weekly basis to support your organization and work-life balance.
