Description
The Glass Inspector position in the glass industry involves visual inspection and detailed quality control of glass containers at the end of the production line, once the material has cooled down. Key responsibilities include detecting, classifying, and segregating items exhibiting manufacturing defects or irregularities, ensuring only products meeting established standards proceed to the palletizing process. This role is critical to maintaining final product integrity and customer satisfaction, working closely with the production team to report any incidents and support continuous, efficient operational flow.
Work takes place within an industrial plant, where the professional must maintain high levels of concentration and visual agility throughout the shift, continuously examining moving items on the production line. The ability to identify subtle imperfections and make rapid decisions regarding each container’s suitability is essential. Additionally, clear and effective communication is required to document and report non-conformities, thereby contributing to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and reduction of production losses.
This position represents a key opportunity within the value chain, where the inspector’s precision directly impacts brand reputation and factory operational efficiency. Performance in this role not only ensures the quality of products reaching the market but also reinforces organizational safety protocols and manufacturing excellence objectives. Work is carried out under a rotating shift system, requiring adaptability and commitment to the company’s scheduled shifts.
The offer includes a gross salary of €20.59 per hour actually worked. The work schedule follows a 6x4 pattern, meaning the employee works six consecutive days—distributed across two morning shifts, two afternoon shifts, and two night shifts—followed by four consecutive days off. Initial employment is temporary, with potential for renewal and eventual integration into the company’s permanent workforce, offering stable long-term career prospects. Onboarding is immediate upon completion of the selection process.
A minimum of one year’s prior experience in industrial environments, continuous production lines, bottling plants, or specific quality control and inspection roles is required. Exceptional attention to detail, sustained visual agility, and a high level of concentration throughout the entire workday are mandatory. The ideal candidate must have full availability to adapt to the 6x4 rotating shift schedule—including weekends—and possess a personal vehicle for commuting to the industrial plant. A Higher Vocational Training (FP Grado Superior) qualification in related fields will be considered an advantage.
