This position supports lounge promotion, menu planning, maintenance of standards, assists the food & beverage team during peak hours, and manages the property’s beverage inventory and alcohol controls. Strives to ensure both guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operational budget. Responsible for professionally and consistently enforcing all legal obligations. Identifies training needs to achieve goals and subsequently implements the plan. Reinforces the food & beverage/kitchen team by supporting other outlets as needed. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** **Education and Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent (GED); 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional field. OR * Two-year college degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field; 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional field. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **Bar/Lounge Operations Management*** Implements agreed-upon beverage policies and procedures across the property. * Manages compliance with all local, regional, and national beverage and alcohol regulations. * Understands beverage control—including available stock, perpetual inventory, bar minimum levels, portion control, cost control, beverage sales potential, sales mix analysis, receipts and disbursements, food standards, and period-end inventory. * Supervises compliance with all alcoholic beverage control policies and procedures. * Attends pre- and post-event meetings to understand group requirements. * Understands budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to support departmental financial management. * Participates in managing controllable department expenses to meet or exceed budgeted targets. * Manages to meet or exceed established targets. * Ensures compliance with all bar/lounge policies, standards, and procedures. * Maintains food handling and hygiene standards. * Manages inventories according to budget and business volume. * Supports menu and promotion development as needed. **Bar/Lounge Team Leadership*** Trains staff on alcoholic beverage control policies and procedures. * Monitors staffing levels to ensure operational, guest service, and financial objectives are met. * Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters. * Communicates key information to the bar/lounge team regarding each event. **Ensuring Exceptional Guest Service*** Delivers excellent guest service. * Interacts with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service level. * Responds effectively to guest issues and complaints. * Trains team to deliver outstanding service. * Reinforces guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and promotes continuous improvement. * Provides individual feedback to improve service performance. * Reviews guest feedback and satisfaction results with the team. **Human Resources Management*** Supports onboarding and initial training programs so new employees can perform their roles effectively. * Participates in developing and implementing corrective action plans. *At Marriott International, we are committed to offering equal opportunities, making everyone feel welcome, and facilitating access to employment opportunities.
